A Flash Update covering the pathway forward for gold has been sent to iGold premium subscribers: iGoldAdvisor.com
Silver -- we must see support hold within the next two weeks, or else the market sets up for a failure and retest of $50... which would not be good.

Gold -- beautiful chart.

This is exactly why democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. The idea that gov’t must “do something” to make housing or healthcare affordable — when, in fact, it is government interference in the market which caused housing and healthcare to become unaffordable in the first place. But politicians don’t care — because they will only win reelection by promising goodies from the public treasury; which, of course, we cannot afford. The end result is inevitably inflation, and thus hurting further the very constituents who vote for these policies in the first place.
You must own assets to protect yourself.
On a flight from Boston to Phoenix and this note was in my seat when I returned from the restroom. I think this shows how much an entire generation is struggling. Whether it’s my own kids or a random person on a random flight, young people are frustrated. There is massive anxiety and uncertainty about the future. This government hasn’t done jack shit for hardworking young Americans who have done everything right…..but if you are a billionaire with a big stock portfolio and a bigger tax cut, Trump’s "Golden Age" has arrived.

Gold -- important trend break now underway.
Following a successful retest, gold will try to stabilize on the opposite side of the broken trend (red). Support is now $4,280 - $4,330 (falling).
Silver brutally rejected, down 7% after the Jackson Hole Federal Reserve Meeting. It nearly hit our target of $71.65 in the hours before - close enough.
Careful now - there are a lot of mixed signals in the market. This is a time to be cautious until the market provides more clarity, by breaking one of the following levels:
• Support is $62.40 - $63.10.
• Resistance is above $71.

The US dollar has been in a rising channel for nearly 20 years. With the Treasury Dept. bond shenanigans this week, is it finally break time for the old USD?
It's getting awfully close...
Silver facing short-term resistance at $69.30.
Short-term caution warranted here.
Higher target of $71.65 remains.
i.e. more debt = buy gold
US Dept of Treasury is increasing, by at least double, the size of liquidity support buyback operations for longer-dated nominal coupon securities; The current maximum size of $2 billion per operation will be at least $4 billion per operation.
Yields, USDJPY tumbles
Well, that resolves the debate whether Treasury buybacks are "Mini QE" once and for all
