Posting here for the first time in a year and a half to say I stopped posting here long ago and that I'm over at BlueSky at anthonydeanharris.com
I've been slowly importing all my tweets to the account elsewhere. It's the same name as this but without the "_". I've already stopped simulposting here and there for weeks now, only liking things and following the last couple stragglers until they wise up, too (please).
I'm finding it hilarious that one of the contenders on my year-end album list showed up on my radar two days ago because it was playing (uncredited!) in a TikTok one of my leftist friends posted on his Instagram Stories.

Tough 9 days for the music: Quincy Jones was 91; George Bohanon, 87; Lou Donaldson, 98; Roy Haynes, 99. Yes -- all especially long and well-lived lives. Still, that's 375 years of combined wisdom and history leaving the planet.
I always say I wouldn't ever tell an artist what to make, but I would say they should never release an album in Q4. This Dave Holland & Lionel Loueke album, though, has seriously come in at the clutch.
I'm not going to say Sullivan Fortner can do no wrong, but I certainly haven't heard him do anything *not* gorgeous yet.

Yes! this line of “x is a privilege” never seems aimed at talking about accommodations, resources etc; it always is employed as a way to shut down conversations and deride the idea of self-improvement / self-actualization. It is a hope- and energy-draining tactic

None of this matters.
Abolish statistics-based fandom.

See, the election wasn’t about “political” differences. It was about moral differences. That’s why I won’t talk to you.
Any Black octogenarian and up who passed away on Monday, we can all say we're saddened to lose our ancestors but can appreciate they lived a good life and anything further is adding bad quality of life at the end, right?
The @Morehouse Man in me is saddened at the loss of Dr. Willie Sheftall '64 but seeing that he passed away on Monday at the age of 80, essentially pulling a Quincy Jones, I ain't mad at it.
