Tech companies are definitely scared at the moment. They have turned up aggressive behaviour to exploit you and your data. They need to wring every coin out of you.

A lot of Caribbean adoption is very informal. Someone has a child that they can’t take care of, and the child goes to live with a cousin/ aunty/ neighbour/ older couple with fertility issues who can take better care of them.

But if you find yourself going into this spiral of concern and anxiety, here is a question and train of thought to ask yourself to help keep you grounded:
Why are these technologies not being deliberately used to better ALL life on Earth?
Coding agents are powerful for sure, but powerful like driving a car or operating heavy machinery; you need to stay aware of what’s happening.
Don’t treat it like an expresso machine.
They are powerful and impressive though.
So good thing I’m doing this locally on my own hardware (and also using the generated heat to warm the room…last night was 🥶).
But this goes to show how wasteful the process can be if not being attentive. Also emphasises how people might be giving money away to big corps.
