Arsène Wenger:
🗣️ “There was a time we had £90 million turnover and we had to pay back £22 million per year for the stadium. I couldn’t sleep because we had to qualify for the Champions League to pay back the money.”
🗣️ “We had to sell our best players. Other clubs came in with lots of money but we were on the same level from 2007 to 2016.”
This is why so many Arsenal fans will forever defend Wenger.
While rivals were spending freely, Arsenal were carrying the weight of the Emirates project on their backs. Every summer felt like survival. Every top-four finish felt like a trophy. Every season, Wenger had to replace world-class players while keeping Arsenal competitive enough to secure Champions League football.
🔴 Sold stars. 🔴 Balanced the books. 🔴 Built a world-class stadium. 🔴 Kept Arsenal among Europe's elite.
Many managers would've walked away. Wenger stayed and carried the club through its most difficult financial era.
The trophies are part of his legacy. The fact Arsenal emerged from that period stronger, richer, and ready to compete again is the other part.
Without Wenger's sacrifices, there is no Arsenal of today.

Does anyone still remember how, between 2015 and 2017, American credit rating agencies ran South Africa?
For a couple of years straight, Standard & Poor’s, Fitch and Moody’s repeatedly downgraded or threatened to downgrade South Africa’s credit rating to place pressure on the government. These actions weakened the rand, increased borrowing costs and created financial instability.
The rating agencies justified their decisions by pointing to “State Capture” and corruption. These “reasons” aligned closely with narratives promoted by opposition parties and the media, further eroding confidence in the government.
When the president removed Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene in 2015 and later Pravin Gordhan in 2017, the ratings agencies were first out of the door announcing downgrades, worsening economic uncertainty and angering the public.
The economic instability caused by the downgrades paved the way for political mobilisation. Campaigns like Save South Africa, which were backed by corporate and banking interests, gained momentum, using the ratings agencies downgrading reports as a crutch.
The financial pressure created by the downgrades opened the door for these movements to grow as ordinary citizens and business elites alike grew increasingly frustrated with the constantly negative media reports.
At the same time, the IMF and World Bank alongside Western governments saw an opportunity to push for neoliberal reforms, including privatisation and austerity measures, which aligned with their economic interests.
Basically, the rating agencies acted as tools for global capital, enforcing a future government that would be more aligned with international financial priorities. To be clear, all local opposition parties were in full lockstep with this.
Moreover, contrary to the official line, the agencies’ actions were never technical assessments of the economy but part of a broader strategy to reconfigure South Africa’s politics and economy.
The repeated downgrades were a form of foreign political interference to destabilise the country, reinforce anti-government narratives, embolden opposition parties and lay the ground for political mobilisation and destabilisation before slithering away quietly at the end of 2017.

Where were you when the kkk and white people were doing that to the Natives and indigenous Black people in America and still are systemically? Are you really going to listen to a clip farm and not go to the source before sharing with your flawed opinion with billions of fans. You are a propagandist too if you can’t see that this was a stupid move. This clip fits the narrative you feed to Trump so you can allow your people to seek asylum in the US when they belong IN EUROPE, where they CAME FROM.

🛑🇩🇿- Algeria’s Interference into Mali’s internal Affairs is Unacceptable and Must Stop!
Let me come back to this issue. Since we reconquered Kidal on November 14th, 2023, Algeria 🇩🇿 has been bitter towards Mali 🇲🇱 all because, that victory allowed us to see their duplicity, thievery and arrogance.
Algeria wants to impose its own vision and strategy on how Mali 🇲🇱 must fight terrorism on its own soil. Who the hell do these Algerians think they can talk on behalf of Mali 🇲🇱?
We caught them red handed stealing Malian resources for decades since Independence Day, because the previous governments in Mali never truly had control over the great north.
Moreover, in the recent events in Tinzaouatene, Mali 🇲🇱 found that Algeria 🇩🇿 just like western countries is sponsoring terrorism on Malian soil.
They are arming the terrorists, providing them shelter in the other side of the border, allowing them to refuel, make provisions and come back to attack Mali.
In spite of all that, they have to nerve to keep interfering into our affairs and trying to tell us what to do? What the hell is wrong with these offsprings of invaders?
Hell nah! This nonsense will have to stop! Please read the press release of Mali 🇲🇱. I have provided you an English translation of it! What are your thoughts on this, and what needs to be done ?
