The stock market is drowning in uncertainty, and that creates massive opportunities for smart investors.
In 2008, $TSLA had just $9 million in cash. The company was fighting for survival.
Then Mercedes came to the rescue.
In May 2009, they invested $50 million in Tesla for a 9% stake, valuing the entire company at roughly $550 million.
Elon Musk later admitted that without their money, Tesla probably wouldnât have survived.
But hereâs where the story gets interesting.
Mercedes sold 40% of its original stake just months after investing.
Then, in October 2014, it sold its remaining Tesla shares for approximately $780 million.
An incredible investment. A massive profit.
Mercedes executives probably celebrated that deal for years.
And who could blame them?
ExceptâŚ
Now, Tesla was worth approximately $1.47 TRILLION.
From a $550 million valuation to $1.47 trillion.
They made a fortune betting on Teslaâs survival, but missed the overwhelming majority of its future growth.
Thereâs a valuable investing lesson here.
You can buy the right company, at the right price, make an absolute fortune, and still sell way too early.
Sometimes the hardest part of investing isnât knowing when to buy.
Itâs having the patience to hold.
You aren't achieving your big financial goals because you aren't willing to sacrifice your small financial goals.
This $BE video was posted on January 15, this year. Since this the stock is up more than 70%.
I think our society has become so cynical we are unable to just see Elon do something cool, just for the fuck of it, and say âoh wow thatâs coolâ
My feed is full of people explaining why this flying car is a publicity stunt (off course it is, and it worked ;))
Have some fun.
The radical left is only good for 1 thing: destabilizing societies and causing chaos.
This is what makes them really good useful idiots throughout history, and this time isnât really different.
France (unfortunately) is just the start of the downfall of Europe.
You need to start caring more about achieving your investing goals and less about looking stupid while chasing them.
Your ego is costing you more than your mistakes ever will.
The best time to buy is when the streets are full of blood, even if some of that blood is your ownâŚ
