Well what a surprise?@WildeChildBeer have won the beer of the festival again with their Veridian Disguisement, closely followed by @RoostersOl Howl at 7.2%. Strong showing also for local boys @ChevinBrewCo Social Chameleon & Home Grown Heroes. Shadow too with Boroughgate Bitter
A close run thing, the ever popular brewery @WildeChildBeer and their Veridian Disguisement (don’t ask??) has now gone. Just over an hour to go

We’ve been going for over an hour at the Otley beer festival @Otley_BeerFest All the beers are good and passed by the management. A few hiccups with the card reader to start with, our first with tech but settled down now. 46 cask beers to suit all tastes

Outrageous: Rishi Sunak is set to approve Boris Johnson's honours list in the next few weeks. If, like me, you agree Boris Johnson's list should be blocked - especially while he's under investigation for his conduct in office - sign the huge petition now: 38d.gs/Boris-Honours-List-TW

Sign the petition: HMRC – close the £600m tax loophole! actions.goodlawproject.org/p…

Amongst other things this is a clear acceptance that UKCA has no benefits & only costs. It will v possibly be abandoned (as the full statement hints), so why not now? I assume because the Brexit Ultras would go wild. So as ever we have a stupid policy to pander to a small cult.
We know it’s a difficult time for business. That is why we are giving firms more time to adopt the new UKCA product marking system – so they can focus on growing, creating jobs and driving economic success. gov.uk/government/news/busin…

@seatsixtyone I’ll let you know how I get on but my through ticket from Munich to London with the Trainline fell down why the connection was 5 min late at Frankfurt and the Brussels train had left. Can’t call anyone so DB gave me a ticket for 2 hours later.

After waiting for a reply from Eurostar, the only ticket I could get was a Business Premier, tough call wit priority security and a Lounge with free booze. Who’s paying; Trainline I hope, DB or my insurer- why should they? Love train travel although Germany is failing a bit now
1
Well sadly much as I love the Germans and their integrated state owned transport systems, the Eurostar staff are just brilliant. Thank you for repairing me on my journey home
Not surprised, shame about our government
An Irish friend says that when the news of the Queen’s death came through, ‘I was drinking in an Irish Republican Socialist pub here in Dublin… To a man & a woman everyone raised a glass to a woman who loved Ireland & did so much to bring about peace on our islands.’
