A man's best friend for a reason. One thing that I struggled with early on after my accident was not being able to rub a dog as I absolutely love them. In 2017, when I became paralysed from the shoulders down. In this interview, I talk about the day that changed my life forever and the moment I was told the news that no one could ever prepare you for. The truth is, I had two choices: let the situation break me, or accept what had happened and find a way to keep going. I couldn’t change what had happened. I couldn’t cry my way back to walking 👨‍🦽 I couldn’t turn back time. All I could do was take it on the chin, roll with the punches and figure out how to move forward with the hand I’d been dealt. Sometimes in life, you don’t get to choose your circumstances. You only get to choose how you respond to them. Rolling with the punches doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt. It doesn’t mean you have to be strong every single day. It means that, no matter how hard life hits you, you find a way to keep going 💪 Whatever you’re going through right now, remember that you don’t have to have all the answers. Just take the next step, keep fighting and deal with life one day at a time.
