🌹 A vibrant Labour launch for the next Member of Parliament for Holborn and St Pancras @Sagal_AW!
Hundreds of members from across London and beyond ready for the doors in the coming weeks.
A lovely opportunity to step inside the historic Sheffield Town Hall and discover more about this special building.
It’s a free event with lots of family-friendly activities and something for all ages to enjoy 😊

The heatwave and drought are taking a real toll on our young trees 🌳☀️
Today I gave this young war memorial tree in Mount Pleasant Park a much-needed drink 💧
If you have a newly planted tree near your home, please keep an eye on it and give it some water if you can.
I’ve also asked the Council what more can be done to protect our young and important trees during prolonged drought.

Thank you to all the residents, parents and business owners who have contacted me to support a safe crossing at the Abbeydale Road / Bannerdale Road junction in Nether Edge.
I will keep raising this issue until we get a safe crossing in place.

Today is a historic day for Bangladesh 🇧🇩
I pay tribute to the July martyrs. Their courage and sacrifice made this free and fair election possible.
Whoever wins must put people first and implement the hopes and aspirations of the July martyrs.

Spoke to @elliecolton_ on @BBCSheffield this morning about widespread missing post in Nether Edge & Sharrow. Some residents waited 4+ weeks - missing hospital appointments and important mail. This isn’t acceptable. Working with our MP @Abtisam_Mohamed to demand answers from Royal Mail. Residents deserve better.

This Labour government is backing Northern Powerhouse Rail - giving the North the transport links it deserves.

I make no apologies for our commitment to investing in the North of England, a region overlooked for far too long under previous governments.

We did it. We have just introduced the biggest upgrade to workers’ rights in a generation.
Today our plans passed through parliament, and will soon become law.
This is a major victory for working people in every part of the country.

It’s Small Business Saturday today!
We have some amazing independent shops in Nether Edge and Sharrow.
Please consider buying at least one Xmas present from a small business this year. These shops are the heart of our community. If we don’t use them, we may lose them.
