John O'Shea amazing chip vs Arsenal February 1, 2005. – at Gothenburg, Sweden
John O’Shea was the ultimate utility player, because no matter where you put him, he just did the job. At Manchester United in the Premier League, he played everywhere — center-back, full-back, midfield… even goalkeeper once. He wasn’t the flashiest or the fastest. But he was reliable, smart, and always ready when the team needed him. And then there were the moments — nutmegging Luís Figo, scoring a last-minute winner against Liverpool stepping up in big games without hesitation. The type of player every great team needs. Underrated. Versatile. Always dependable. Unfortunately they don’t make them like this anymore.

How I read the Bruno situation : 🔻Based on the form from last season under Carrick, he had high hopes from this season. 🔻So he kept an eye on the Transfer window. 🔻No doubt United would have made verbal promises to him during signing his last contract about wanting to compete for the big trophies. 🔻Window turned out to be a massive disappointment but he still held hope that United might be able to recapture form from last season. 🔻That didn't happen and instead we tried to change our way of playing from last season. 🔻When it finally dawned on him we are embarking on another rebuild and written off season, he has made up his mind to leave. 🔻He is at the twilight of his career. A career that would have won many things at another club. 🔻Problem is that he has a contract that goes until 2027 and with an option for a further year. 🔻If Bruno wants to leave United will sell. But United would want to sell to Saudi clubs for big money. 🔻Bruno doesn't want the Saudi money. He wants to win something big in Europe before his club career comes to an end. 🔻He is running out of time. 🔻Catch is the European clubs who would want to buy him can't offer the same kind of money Saudi clubs can. 🔻So the only way to bring the price down is for Bruno to fall out with the club and put pressure on United to accept far less than what they'd get if a Saudi club came calling. 🔻That is the reason he is behaving unlike how he has behaved in an otherwise loyal United career. That is the reason for him doing it all publicly. He is trying to push a move. 🔻It is unfortunate but I understand why he wants to leave even if I can't support the way he is doing it, including publicly throwing Carrick - a United legend under the bus.

Again really think Avram & Joel should sell Man Utd because when we end up in the championship the value of the club will sink… Sell while you can, cash in while the value is high.. don’t be stupid and stay here Avram and Joel! Sell, Sell, Sell, Sell

If you must hark back, hark back to Van Gaal (FA Cup), Mourinho (3 trophies, 2nd place), Ole (3rd & 2nd) or Ten Hag (2 cups). For the love of God, stop romanticising Amorim as some great lost opportunity when his record at United doesn’t justify that sentiment.

Firstly, let's not be buying this Glazer PR, they're scumbags regardless of how bad Ratcliffe/INEOS are. Secondly, they could've vetoed it if they cared so much.
🚨 NEW: Sources say that the handling of Manchester United’s job cuts by Sir Jim Ratcliffe did NOT sit well with the Glazers, particularly Joel and Avram. One source says that Ratcliffe’s implementation of the program jarred with Joel’s “sense of decency and old-fashioned values”. #MUFC [@MarkOgden_]

That clip of Carrick being applauded by the fans only for them to completely switch up on the players as soon as he entered the tunnel might be one of the most powerful things I’ve ever seen as a supporter. The longer this goes the more magnified that microscope will become, you can’t overlook such a toxic pattern anymore.

You wouldn’t believe it now,but after this win,the entire focus of this dusted dishonest fanbase then was on the fact that some players danced in the dressing room to celebrate the victory. Apparently this expression of joy was “Ole lowering standards”🫠

Jason Wilcox's only action remaining at United should be to pick up his P45. He should be nowhere near picking who is next.
Eddie Howe remains the preferred candidate of Jason Wilcox. Julian Nagelsmann is highly regarded by Christopher Vivell, but Wilcox’s view may hold more sway with Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who controls football policy at #mufc [@JamieJackson___]

One of the most powerful videos I’ve ever seen as a United supporter. The shift in atmosphere as soon as Carrick goes down the tunnel is exactly what the players need to hear. 👏

Manchester United lost roughly $128 million in a year and still paid shareholders about $37 million. After a 4–0 defeat to Brentford, Gary Neville went after the owners on live TV. August 13, 2022. United had conceded four goals in 35 minutes. Jamie Redknapp argued that the expensive players on the pitch had to take responsibility. Neville wanted the conversation to go higher. It got personal: “Look at me when I’m talking to you,” Redknapp demanded. Neville wasn’t backing down. He pointed to money leaving the club while Old Trafford deteriorated. The Glazers, he argued, were letting their employees take the criticism while they stayed in America. Then he challenged the defence everyone kept making: the owners had spent money on players. Whose money? Neville’s point was that United funded those transfers through its own revenue and borrowing. Spending the club’s money wasn’t the same as putting your own money into it. The accounts published the following month added another uncomfortable detail. For the financial year ending June 2022, United had paid about $37 million in dividends to shareholders, including the Glazers, despite a roughly $128 million loss. United had finished sixth. That hadn’t stopped shareholders getting paid.

The Stretford End sings Carrick's name as he's on the verge of tears. Broken. The writing is on the wall. Rinse and repeat yet again. Until those leeches at the top and the incompetent people making the football decisions leave this football club, nothing will ever change.

Carrick was failed by the owners/players. His senior playes where disalutioned because the club didn't buy enough players=stopped fighting. He tried to play a style the player's could do. He was to stubborn to change. He's responsible for it in the end. He's getting fired 🤷
Emotional exit by Michael Carrick as fans sing his name. A farewell? Supporters turn on players once Carrick down tunnel. #MUFC
