There's a misconception among passengers that drivers refuse card payments because they need to wait for a certain period to recieve the funds. That is far from the truth. They can instantly withdraw the money to their bank account, on both Uber and PickMe. That's not the issue.
Most drivers prefer cash payments, because they rack up comission dues because they constantly try to go on cash hires. If they went on cash trips before your trip, and they have a commission due of 300 rupees, and your card payment is 300, Uber will deduct the driver's due from your card payment, so they get 0.
Additionally, when you pay through card, Uber and PickMe will automatically deduct the commission the driver owes for the particular hire from that.
The reality is, they need to pay these commission balances in a few days, but they do a "daily เถปเทเถฝ", and has poor financial control so they try to put off paying the commission as much as they can. They go to these physical Pay&Go machines and pay the comissions at least every other day.
It's a vicious cycle.
I've met great drivers with great financial control who exclusively prefer card payments, but that is a small percentage of people.

If youโve been to a hotel often you would see a sign looking something like this on the way to your room. This helps finding rooms convenient and fast especially if the hotel has many rooms.
