Liberal Mark Carney is spending $200 million of your money to turn a gravel pit into a money pit for Liberal insiders.

Mark Carney is seizing a costly Liberal majority that voters denied him, and doing so through backroom deals. In January, MP Gladu said that floor crossers should face voters in a byelection to give voters the final say. I could not agree more. She should do so. The people in her community voted for our Conservative vision of a Canada that is affordable, safe, and strong at home, not for the costly Liberal government she has now joined. She should honour her word and let voters decide.

The reason Mr. Carney hides from Question Period is that his real record (not the illusion) is doubling the deficit, no pipelines approved, no crime laws changed, while giving Canada the only shrinking economy and worst food price inflation in the G7. Better to float around on a cloud of illusions than hit the harsh ground of reality.

Liberal taxes and inflation have made homeownership a luxury. Remove government barriers and red tape. Scrap building taxes. And restore the dream of homeownership for all Canadians.

Canadians now carry more debt than what our entire country's economy generates in a year. Half live paycheque to paycheque. 1 in 4 face food insecurity. There were 2.2 million visits to food banks in a single month. Life is getting more expensive and Canadians can't keep up. We need to take taxes off groceries and get government out of the way of economic growth, so hard work pays off with strong paycheques that buy more.

One permit. One review. To get government out of the way, and shovels in the ground.
