Measuring your progress against others is a sure fire path to constant disappointment. Measure your progress against where you started, where you’ve been, where you were yesterday. It’s far more rewarding and informative to evaluate yourself against yourself.

You seriously underestimate how much you can do with time. 1 year is a fucking lifetime. 6 months is enough to go from 0 to 100. Even 1 week of full commitment 14 hours a day is enough to push the needle so far forward you won't even recognize yourself. Just do more. Just do what your heart desires. Just be better.

your relationship with discipline changes so much when you shift from doing things from love rather than shame. from 'i have to clean'- to realizing i deserve to have a clean home. from 'i need to work out'- to i deserve to have a healthy body. you deserve the best from yourself

I’m in love with this sentence: “Every pattern in your life repeats until you learn the lesson. The moment you choose differently, the loop ends and growth begins.”

I finally understand what Machiavelli meant when he said, "Never play fair in a game where others cheat." It doesn't mean become evil. It means stop being naive. Stop bringing honesty to people who study manipulation, stop giving access to people who weaponize closeness, and stop expecting clean hands from people who already showed you they'll throw dirt. Sometimes wisdom is not revenge. Sometimes wisdom is learning the rules of the room before the room uses your goodness against you.

I came across a quote that said: "You can seem like a millionaire to one person and a homeless person to the next. The ants think you are a giant, and the trees don't even notice you. You think you have a boring life, but the next person might be striving for your lifestyle. Comparison is the thief of joy, so stay kind and keep loving life. Life is all just a big game of perspective."

Ten lazy years can disappear the moment you lock in. Six months of discipline can erase a decade of drifting. Momentum is magic. It turns yesterday's failures into tomorrow's fuel.
Parents are getting older. I just hope life gets better soon.

Keep your problems smaller than your life. A flat tire is a flat tire. A bad meeting is a bad meeting. A canceled flight is just an extra two hours. These things become catastrophes when you let them. But they stay manageable when you remember the depth of your real life- the people you love, the work you care about, the beautiful years still ahead. Zoom out. Fit your reaction to the size of the problem.

according to philosophy, the highest form of peace is to have zero desire to be understood, admired, pitied or even known.
Sometimes, all my body needs is this.

There is a Japanese Legend that says: "Whether it's a machine, a house, or a relationship. Maintenance is always cheaper than repairing." What you don't maintain, you eventually lose.

Chris Hemsworth took a blood test as a stunt for a TV show. The results said he is 8 to 10 times more likely to develop Alzheimer's. Every workout he has posted since is a brain protection protocol disguised as a fitness video. The test was for Limitless in 2022. The plan was to reveal his results on camera. Peter Attia, the longevity doctor running the bloodwork, saw two copies of the APOE4 gene, called the director, and refused to say it on film. Two copies is rare, about 1 in 50 people. One copy is common: roughly 1 in 4 carry it, and most never find out because almost nobody tests. So he rebuilt the routine. Less heavy lifting, more endurance and cardio, because cardiovascular fitness is one of the strongest levers an APOE4 carrier can pull against cognitive decline. He started learning an instrument with Ed Sheeran because new skill acquisition builds cognitive reserve. He added deliberate solitude because chronic stress accelerates the exact pathology he is racing. His grandfather had Alzheimer's. He watched it happen. Then a camera crew handed him the genetic receipt. The man with the most photographed body on earth is training for the one organ nobody can see.
