I come from a small town in Indonesia, almost 1,970 km away from Jakarta, the capital city. In 2023, when Argentina were announced to be coming to Indonesia, there were rumors that Messi would be coming too. At the time, I was already struggling with my job and knew I couldn’t keep going like that. So I decided to resign and take the trip to Jakarta, hoping I would finally get to see Messi. Messi didn’t end up coming. But I stayed in Jakarta to watch Argentina play. I decided to start a new chapter here, and somehow, everything changed. I found a much better job, met so many kind people, and, thank God, today I’m in a position where I can use what I earn to help people who need it. Sometimes I think God used my love for Messi to bring me somewhere I was meant to be. Leo, you may never know this, but somehow, God used you to lead me to a place I was meant to be.
