I think ppl working in the technology industry should understand that middle America is starting to hate us in a really visceral, potentially unrecoverable way
It’s totally self-defeating and irrational on the part of middle America, but it’s very real and getting worse fast

You manually hustle for the first 100 users just to map where the friction is.
Once you find the bottlenecks you build the flowing system for the next 10,000. Manual effort validates the offer while infrastructure scales the business.

"There's like a rotation from software into hardware.
It's possible all the value accrues to the chips, and the energy, and then software is all open source."

A huge team effort and joint project with @genophoria (Hani Goodarzi's) lab -- we show that systemic hypoxia (and our hypoxia drug, HypoxyStat) suppress tumor growth! @arcinstitute @GladstoneInst @UCSF led by rockstars (@AyushDMidha, Brandon Chew,
@Choi_Benedict, Timmy, Chris!)
I am excited to share our latest preprint, in which we demonstrate that systemic hypoxia suppresses solid tumor growth.
This has been a tremendous collaborative effort in the labs of @IshaHJain and @Genophoria at @GladstoneInst, @ArcInstitute, and @UCSF.

this response that it effects only the largest models and shouldn’t effect small startups is *quite* an oversimplification. they will certainly affect the supply of foundation models
