This is less about both movies being smart (they are not) and more about general audiences legit being so dumb. They could look at the color black on screen and assume it’s yellow until being told it’s actually black.

Across their past five films never have LAIKA ever needed to disclaim this. Yet it’s all so important and urgent as to why we need to support handmade animation. All is say see WILDWOOD if you haven’t (esp on the biggest screen you can). Tell your friends. It’s such a triumph.

It is increasingly striking, that maybe through clairvoyance or coincidence, DIGGER lampoons the exact audience for YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING. The two movies aren't so much in conversation as confrontation. I wonder if anyone loves both unequivocally.
