I am receiving information indicating that the United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪 has fully vacated its diplomatic mission in the Republic of Mogadishu and has suspended payments for nearly 3,000 security personnel it previously supported there. In response, the current administrator of what is effectively a Turkish-controlled Mogadishu has reportedly requested #Ethiopia 🇪🇹 to mediate a reconciliation with the #UAE.
However, available indications suggest the UAE has instead relocated the majority of its diplomatic and operational presence to #Somaliland and is preparing to deepen its relationship with the Republic of Somaliland following its recognition by #Israel. This shift signals a strategic recalibration rather than a temporary diplomatic dispute, reflecting changing realities on the ground rather than adherence to legacy political frameworks.
Wasn’t the capital of “Hirshabelle” originally Beledweyne? So he’s just going to return what he stole from Hawadle in the first place? You’ve got to love these idiots at @TheVillaSomalia.
I have a crazy take! Why not give Hawadle their turn at the presidency, considering this incompetent Ali Gudlawe has already spent 5+ years at Hotel Mogadishu?
Who is advising this guy (@HassanSMohamud) on basic political strategy? Why not have your JSP-loving Abdullahi Sanbaloolshe (ex-lover now) as president instead of pushing him out in favour of Gudlawe, simply because a sub-clan within your own clan might pose a threat, i.e. Sharif Sheikh Ahmed?
I’ll even give you the game: Sharif Sheikh Ahmed is already perceived as a tool of the Darod or Puntland, so just smear him as such.
But removing all the leadership of the puppet states, Galmudug and Southwest State, while leaving Gudlawe, which coincidentally is also Sharif’s sub-clan, is politically naive and ill-advised.
If the Democrats select Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries after a historic, monumental victory in the 2026 midterms, then best believe the voters who showed up in 2026 should show up again in 2028 to primary and vote them out. Any Democrat who votes to install these two as leaders of the Democratic Party is effectively disregarding the will of the American people.
Nobody voted for their leadership, and quite frankly, after the past two decades of playing second fiddle, they should be primaried and removed.
As a matter of fact, the DCCC should also resign en masse and hand leadership over to a vibrant younger generation. These geriatric politicians in Congress should focus on their personal affairs for the limited time they have left.
They have royally and monumentally damaged this country by shipping manufacturing jobs overseas and now shipping out whatever remains, turning America into a Third World country. This is not because of immigrants, many of whose families have been here since the founding of this country in 1776, but because of greedy corporations that finance the party and sustain its political existence.
If the Democratic Party does not change, then those who recognise this reality should create a new party that puts the interests of ordinary people first, rather than continuing to follow figures like Hakeem Jeffries, Chuck Schumer and the current Democratic establishment.
Something has to give, especially after what we have witnessed in Kansas, Texas, Michigan, North Carolina and South Carolina, and what we may hopefully see in Mississippi (@scott_colom).
There are reports that nearly 15,000 Turkish forces will be deployed to Mogadishu to reinforce the Turkish 🇹🇷 occupation of the former Italian 🇮🇹 Somaliland.
As the African Union withdraws from Mogadishu and the free services provided to Turkey come to an end, it is time for the Turkish government to start directly governing its colony in Mogadishu.
The United Nations 🇺🇳 has also completely abandoned its mission, having failed to resolve the quagmire of this failed project.
Much like its French 🇫🇷 counterpart in West Africa, Turkey will begin managing its East African colony and exploiting its natural resources. Turkey has reportedly been granted access to 90% of Southern Somalia’s offshore natural resources by its colonial government.
Turkey is also reportedly testing its ICBMs as part of a covert nuclear programme, using its space station as a cover story.
Nearly 100 years after Italian colonial rule, another European military presence is being deployed to reinforce colonial governance.

I’ve said it a million times: some people are in this purely for their own personal interests, and they will sell you out the moment there is money on the table.
When I said this individual was hired by Ismail Omar Guelleh, with the primary objective of manoeuvring his way into Villa Somalia, I was not suggesting he was the only one. There is a clear pattern, and I am glad the fifth column has been forced to expose itself, along with the various actors working for the African Union and @IGADsecretariat.
Just ask yourself: what is a representative of the African Union in South Sudan doing involving himself in the domestic affairs of the so-called failed Somali state?
The African Union itself is led by a secretary-general who has long been aligned with Ismail Omar Guelleh and served obediently under Djibouti’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Once you examine these relationships, the connections become difficult to ignore.
Ultimately, the question is whose interests these individuals are really serving.

All of this could have been avoided if people had been honest about the reality of the Somali Peninsula. But, true to form, these low-IQ individuals and their supporters would rather turn against one another than accept that the current arrangement is simply unsustainable.
Let the show begin. And please spare me the nationalist rhetoric coming from both sides. This is nothing more than rival political actors fighting amongst themselves after a falling-out.
I also see Darod peasants cheering for one side or the other because it suits their own transparent and delusional attempts to manoeuvre their way into power. They are not defending principles or nationalism. They are simply looking for an opportunity to advance their own political ambitions.

We have people trying to whitewash the facts, so let’s put things straight.
It was this so-called Supreme Court, which, in reality, has become a kangaroo court, that failed to fulfil its duties under the constitution. It allowed the madman in Villa Somalia 🇸🇴 and his criminal family to operate without accountability and do as they pleased.
What is particularly astonishing is that the new constitution, introduced by this criminal cartel, and the actions that followed have themselves been in violation of the very constitution they imposed. This is not simply a matter of violating the previous consensus-based constitution. They have managed to violate their own so-called banana republic constitution.
And now what are we witnessing? The criminals are turning against one another. They are fighting amongst themselves. It is a textbook case of no honour among thieves.
For the last year and a half, the same people who dismantled the rule-based order within an already fragile federal system have been fighting amongst themselves under the very centralised system they created.
They destroyed the rules that were supposed to govern them, and now they are discovering what happens when there is no rule of law, no accountability and no institutional restraint.
The fact that the opposition submitted a complaint to the so-called Supreme Court of this banana republic, only for the silverback to dismiss the so-called Chief Justice, tells you everything you need to know about how lawless and dysfunctional this place has become.
But don’t worry. Two upstanding citizens from Puntland and Jubaland are working tirelessly to save the banana republic from its inevitable doom.
Apparently, Einstein’s famous observation about insanity does not apply here. In the banana republic, doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different result is simply business as usual.
Just another Tuesday at the zoo!
And please, don’t forget to contribute to the Banana Republic Zoo of Somalia. Every penny counts for Starving Marvin! 🤣
#UPDATE: President Hassan Sheikh Removes Supreme Court Chief Justice Baashe Yusuf, Appoints Ibrahim Idle Suleiman Amid Constitutional Dispute
Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has reportedly dismissed Supreme Court Chief Justice Baashe Yusuf Ahmed and appointed lawyer Ibrahim Idle Suleiman as his replacement.
The reported leadership change comes as the Supreme Court is handling a politically sensitive lawsuit filed by former President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, challenging Somalia’s disputed constitutional amendments and electoral arrangements.
According to emerging reports, the newly appointed Chief Justice, Ibrahim Idle Suleiman, is affiliated with President Hassan Sheikh’s Justice and Solidarity Party (JSP).
The timing of the dismissal raises questions about judicial independence and the future handling of the constitutional and electoral dispute, which remains a major source of disagreement between the Federal Government and opposition leaders.

Hassan’s Troops Reportedly Defect to Laftagareen’s Forces in Middle Shabelle Amid Southern Somalia’s Civil War
A heavily armed unit of Hassan Sheikh’s Custodial Corps (Asluubta), previously stationed in Haji Ali, Middle Shabelle, has reportedly defected and surrendered to forces loyal to Abdiaziz Laftagareen in the Geelgub area.
According to preliminary reports, the defectors comprise an armed military unit.
The reported defection marks another potential setback for Hassan Sheikh’s forces amid escalating tensions and ongoing clashes with forces loyal to Laftagareen. - from @BaidoaOnline

The term-expired wannabe dictator has reportedly travelled to Uganda 🇺🇬 to ask President Museveni to slow down the withdrawal of Ugandan troops.
Remember, these are the same people with an elaborate, imperial-style appetite for something they call “Somaliweyn”, an ideological obsession inherited from the former military dictatorship. They cannot even secure their own five-kilometre Green Zone in Mogadishu, yet for the last 4 years they have squandered billions in resources attacking the very pillars of cooperation that were keeping their political project afloat.
According to information I have received, he effectively begged the Ugandan president to reconsider the withdrawal. But, true to form, Museveni’s response was reportedly straightforward: you had your time, and you squandered it. Uganda 🇺🇬 will not continue committing its resources without payment from Western governments.
The irony is extraordinary. After years of preaching nationalism, territorial expansion and regional superpower ambitions, Mogadishu cannot even guarantee its own security without foreign troops and Western taxpayers footing the bill.

Deni and his “DeniForMogadishu” crew believe that @HassanSMohamud is going to resign. 798 Days until #Puntland is free from this Ciyaal Xamar and his 1991 “Biriyo laydhbaa ii bildhaamoo waxbaa baalaha iga yaacay”. I get the trauma! Just have a look at landers and their obsession to recapture LasAnod.
When someone is inherently incompetent in governance, geopolitics and understanding global conflicts, all you can do is hope the place does not collapse before his term ends.
Let me be clear: we have never been part of any politician who subscribes to Mogadishu’s political ideology. We do not trust politicians who have already shown their true colours, whether in positions of power in Mogadishu or as second-class employees of its political establishment.
We have been consistent from day one. Our principles have not changed, and we have stood by our people. There will always be another snake-oil salesman. (Abdiwail Gaas 2.0)
When his political survival in #Puntland depends on it, he suddenly becomes pro-Puntland and adopts Puntland First talking points. But whenever he sees an opportunity to return to Mogadishu, his true colours emerge. That does not mean we endorse him, support his ambitions or follow him whenever he is politically humiliated and returns to Puntland.
He opens a media studio, dresses like Mao Zedong and announces, “This is the time Somalia needs us.” Yet the production standards are embarrassing, and the political message is even worse. There are serious questions about the people he has chosen to surround himself with and their conduct.
The problem is that he is the legitimate president of Puntland for the next two years, yet appears completely confused about his political direction. He wants to preserve the status quo, cling to the ideology that federalism must continue at any cost, preach Somali unity and convince Puntlanders that “saving Somalia” should remain our priority. This is precisely the mentality that has undermined Puntland’s interests.
Then there is the reported Dubai 🇦🇪 meeting with the Mogadishu hotel opposition, where he was allegedly encouraged to hold his position while toning down his Puntland First rhetoric. This appears to be part of a political calculation built around the assumption that Hassan Sheikh will somehow resign. Anyone building their strategy around that expectation is politically detached from reality.
And here is the extraordinary contrast: the United Nations 🇺🇳 has ended its mission, yet he has reportedly spent nearly $400,000 on a media operation that looks as though it cost less than $4,000 to establish. At a time when international support is being withdrawn and Puntland needs serious institutional investment, this tells you everything about his government’s priorities.
All this political theatre appears to be little more than positioning for a possible presidential bid in Mogadishu.
Do not get it twisted. Just because our political positions occasionally overlap, or he adopts some of our Puntland First talking points, does not mean we endorse his ambitions. If anything, he is the one who repeatedly moves towards our position when it suits him.
We respect the office, not necessarily the individual or his political manoeuvres. He has less than two years left. This is not 2021, and Puntlanders are not going to buy the same recycled political theatre, promises and nonsense from him and his ministers.

Where are my Somaliweyn lunatics now? 🤣 I thought you said Israel 🇮🇱 would never send an ambassador to Hargeisa?
Let me get this straight. The UN’s 🇺🇳 welfare and assistance mission in Mogadishu ended on 31 October, while Uganda 🇺🇬 has signalled that, without continued funding from Western taxpayers, it may no longer be willing to protect Mogadishu’s failed political establishment.
For the last 18 years, Mogadishu has been busy destroying and cannibalising its own institutions, including the federal system that was supposed to hold the country together. The very people who subscribed to federalism have spent years undermining it.
What is even more astonishing is that many of these so-called Somali nationalists are sitting comfortably in the West, living as refugees while preaching about a united Somalia, conquering Northern Kenya 🇰🇪 and Ethiopia 🇪🇹 and creating a regional superpower. All this grand talk from cafés in London and Minnesota.
They refused to accept reality. They refused to cooperate with one another. They undermined the institutions that could have held the country together, and now they are facing the consequences of those choices.
The United States has begun extending its military presence in Bosaso, #Puntland, with initial operations towards establishing a much larger military base, following the arrival of several US military cargo aircraft at Bosaso International Airport.
The Puntland Defense Forces are also mobilising to expand their military operations throughout Puntland, with the support of the United States.
As part of the first phase of defence cooperation with the US Department of War (@DeptofWar) , the United States has also committed to training approximately 10,000 #Puntland troops.
This is a welcome development for Puntland and an important step towards strengthening its security capabilities, expanding its defence partnerships and building a more capable indigenous fighting force.
“Republic of Turkey Consulate General in Hargeisa”…
I thought Somaliland considered itself a republic, or at the very least a self-declared independent republic. So why is Turkey 🇹🇷 operating a “Consulate General” in Hargeisa rather than an embassy?
If Hargeisa is the capital of a country, why is its Turkish diplomatic mission classified as a consulate general? Could it be because Turkey’s embassy is in Mogadishu, which is currently begging Uganda 🇺🇬 not to withdraw its troops?
And if that is the case, why are some Somalilanders so quick to attack Mogadishu while their own diplomatic arrangements appear to place Hargeisa under the umbrella of Turkey’s relationship with Somalia?
For all the low-IQ rhetoric some Somaliland supporters direct at “Somalians”, they seem remarkably comfortable playing second fiddle to Mogadishu when it comes to diplomatic protocol.
