That voice on the phone? It might not be who you think.
Scammers now use AI to clone voices. They can sound exactly like a family member, a colleague, or a bank official. Some even use videos to make it look real.
Here's what to watch for:
1.Urgency. "I need this now," "before it's too late," "don't tell anyone."
2.A change of number or account. "This is my new line" or "send it to a different account."
3.A request for money or details. Anything involving your PIN, OTP, or a transfer.
What to do:
- Pause. Don't act on the call itself.
- Hang up. End the conversation calmly.
- Verify. Call the person back on a number you already know — not the one they called you from.
Never trust. Always verify.

Your PIN and OTP are the last lock on your money. A real I&M bank employee will never ask for them. Anyone who does is trying to take something from you. That PIN and one-time code (OTP) are the final lock on your account. It's sent to you — and only you- for a reason. The moment you read it out to someone, you've handed them the key.
Scammers know this, so they'll try every angle: they'll say they're from the bank, that your account is at risk, that they need to "reverse a wrong transaction," or that they're confirming a delivery.
The truth is simple:

No legitimate customer care agent needs it.

From exploring markets to unlocking business opportunities.
Phase 1 of the I&M Bank China Business Trip has been an exciting and fulfilling experience!
Our customers explored the business districts of Yiwu International Trade City, one of China’s major wholesale trading hubs, discovering the breadth of products and possibilities available to businesses looking to source internationally. From beauty and cosmetics, textiles and ceramics to electronics, automotive products, heavy machinery and emerging technologies, including robotics and AI innovations, the experience offered a glimpse into the diversity of China’s manufacturing and trading ecosystem.
Beyond exploring products, the goal was to help our customers understand the opportunities available in international sourcing and how the right financial support can help them turn promising discoveries into viable business ventures.
The experience extended beyond the trade markets to Yiwu’s vibrant night market, where customers immersed themselves in local Chinese culture, sampled local cuisine, explored retail stalls and interacted with local sellers, experiencing another side of the city’s entrepreneurial spirit.
Now, with Phase 1 complete, the journey continues!
Tomorrow, our delegation heads to Guangzhou for the next phase of the trip and the Canton Fair, where more connections, discoveries and opportunities await.
