This is definitely a part of India but a very small one and definitely not representative of the nation.
Apple’s new Diwali ad captures very little of India as it actually is, but almost everything about how outsiders imagine India to be.
Hey @Apple, Representation is not the same as understanding.
After losing in Asian Games. Sindhu was the only personality who publicly came out and addressed it. took it on the chin.
And now she is speaking again. Her comments are not an angry response but a responsible one. We may not agree with her point but we cannot deny that she does not hate us for having the opposite one. She is available to discuss. Lets give her that respect back.
Spending the energy on explaining the point and not displaying anger helps a lot with moving the needle ahead.
Mr. Kannan, with all due respect, I don’t think your tweet fully captures the reality of professional badminton.
A first-round exit at Wimbledon earns £80,000. Winning the China Open, one of badminton’s richest tournaments, earns $140,000. Lose in the first round? Just $2,000.
Yet our expenses are largely similar. Travel, coaches, physios, trainers and support teams. I’ve had long conversations with Rohan Bopanna about this very disparity.
I agree that established athletes should strive to be financially independent. I’ve been fortunate to have wonderful sponsors, but not everyone has that privilege. That’s also why organisations like @OGQ_India are so important.
More importantly, if you read Mihir’s article in full, you’ll see that younger players had to compete without coaches, while several withdrew from tournaments.
I can find ways to fund my tour. But what about the 18-year-old chasing her dreams, hoping to become the next Sindhu or Lakshya?
And I must acknowledge the tremendous support the Government of India and @Media_SAI have extended to athletes like us over the years. Their contribution to Indian sport cannot be understated.
Accountability is absolutely necessary. But supporting athletes isn’t bleeding the system. It’s investing in India’s sporting future. And we shouldn’t lose sight of that.

Can we have ideals like him?
The Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India congratulates Dr. Ashoke Sen, @ictstifr-Infosys Madhava Chair Professor, Bengaluru, on receiving the Oskar Klein Medal for 2026. He is the first Indian physicist to receive this prestigious honour.
Prof. Sen is globally recognised for his pioneering contributions to string theory, particularly his work on S-duality, the precision counting of black hole entropy and string field theory. His research has played a significant role in advancing modern string theory and deepening our understanding of fundamental physics.
Jointly awarded by @Stockholm_Uni and the Nobel Committee for Physics of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, the Oskar Klein Medal recognises distinguished contributions to physics. This recognition adds to Prof. Sen’s distinguished achievements, which include the Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics (2012), the Dirac Medal (2014), the Padma Shri (2001) and the Padma Bhushan (2013).
Thank You for doing this. At some point I wanted to learn sanskrit but then the intent became a wish and other learnings that had more short term utility took over.
I am happy that Prathosh made this unique effort and cold find someone who would engage. Its not about how many eyeballs will it get but about doing something authentic and passionate. Prathosh is passionate about Sanskrit and culture and he is renowned professor of AI and the best institute in India. Combining those two makes real sense.
Maybe it becomes cool to know sanskrit then we will have more Sanskrit speakers in India.
Ok so now how do we buy phones then :-)
Why you shouldn’t buy smartphones from Chinese brands: They’re now recycling old DRAM chips that have already been used in smartphones for five to six years, putting them into new phones, and selling them.

Don't know why Jukan shared this. The density of the lanes is the news here. But it still on paper. $AVGO already has taurs with 400G per channel with an option to switch to 200G if someone needs higher channels than speed. USFP is still on paper with no sight of completion.
$MRVL and $AVGO both already have switches with higher transfer rates. No one can beat $AVGO today in SerDes. Please stop jocking.
Was in a space today and was very uncomfortable with the tone. Working for just for yourself is allowed. its a choice and completely within rights. no body can force someone to do sacrifises. But mocking those who are want to do some good or work for doing some good for others is pure bullying. Some young kid said "I want to work for the nation". And instead of giving their persepectives, they mocked him with "NationWantsToKnow Gang". He left after few more bad comments.
It should be ok to sacrfise or just care for the family or just live for your growth/happiness. Thats freedom. And when you accept their difference in choise, its called kindness. Be Kind people.
I think Caleb is being courteous and happy that there was some action. But for me patching is not fixing :/
The 12th Main footpath in Indiranagar is fixed!
It ain't pretty but functionally it's better. Fewer holes/bumps/obstacles.
Thanks @Virendra0698 for taking such an active role in this upgrade.
In 2027 this will be dug up for the 12 Main revamp, following Tender SURE standards.

An unforgettable conversation with Captain Smit, filled with pride and emotions.
Well I have also complained all through this games. Please check my other tweets and comments before assuming I am vindicating the people responsible for the games performance.
This was a growing thought, not something I threw onto people. It might be wrong, but it was not a cheap shot.
So here is how the thought developed into this comment.
None of my extended family cares about this games. Haritha Bhadra is a bronze medalist here (in two events). My extended family big weights will now run discovery on her to find where in our family she is from. (I do not know her and she does not know me or anyone I know).
None of my friends, family, neighbors, locality care about the Asian games (or the commonwealth games before). No one of my network cares. When I brought it up. They all complained about the sports. They did not know the rules of wrestling or squash.
My observation is. Enough of us want to become a cricketer. Enough of us try to become software engineers or doctors. Not enough of us play other sports. How many schools have a proper ground? When I lived in the US the local schools swimming and basketball court was better than the indoor stadium (shuttle) near my home in Hyderabad (LB Nagar).
Not enough of us participate or care about these games/gold medals. May be if enough of us put our children into sports, the next generation would know the rules of these sports and be able to feel the pinch and care when our boxers are misjudged or when our players just play in the games as if it was a free trip to Japan with some excercise.
Replying to @TheKhelIndia
For everyone complaining here. How many of us will start pushing our children to participate in sports professionally?. I mean other than cricket or football?
