I got tired of creating new battery pads by hand, cutting copper tape, so I made my first basic PCB. It uses the DNF pads above R9 to anchor to the board and restores the broken RTC circuit. I shared the boards publicly so you can me them yourself: github.com/imodsystems/AGB-E…

I made my own version of the Pluto IIx board which is used in GCVideo internal installs on the Game Cube DOL-001. I essentially kept the same formfactor to be used with the Flex PCB I designed for the Pluto IIx as well as the 3D mount. I am selling the pcb by itself and as a kit

I was finally able to test the install on the Retro GEM by @PixelFXco for the GameCube. Overall, very straightforward install. Not very complicated at all.

New video. This one has been in the works for over 2 years. I think this is the best story I will ever tell on my YouTube channel.

First time seeing one of these cart readers. A customer sent this in because the PC wasn’t detecting the game. This company went defunct so they couldn’t get support. The board was clearly hand soldered and done very poorly. I’ll rework the board, but the culprit was a bad pin.
A customer dug an original N64 Digital out of their couch and sent it to me to install it for them. Console got a full system recap and a much needed cleaning.

Glad I was able to secure the 30th Anniversary LE DualSense. Also, Best Buy is always my last resort when ordering anything online. They always put the least amount of effort into packaging things.
Customer sent in a copy of Pokémon Crystal for a garbled Nintendo logo on boot. He said that Reddit told him to reflow the ROM and SRAM to fix the issue. Reflowing those chips will not fix that broken trace 😅
What’s everyone’s preferred way to remove SMD aluminum electrolytic capacitors? I personally like to use 2 independent soldering stations like tweezers.
