LIVE: Artisan has added a stablecoin-backed card to its bill-pay app with @privy_io and @stripecrypto
Back in August, @doranmaul told us his US users wanted to pay their bills straight from their stablecoins:
“I would pay my mortgage onchain if I could.”
xitter.cf/UseArtisan/status/2112…
Pay the bill. Swipe the card. Same stablecoin balance.
Bill pay was step one. @privy_io and @stripecrypto helped us ship step two in just weeks.

Probably the fastest way to go live with a stablecoin-backed card program today
Artisan (@UseArtisan) went live in weeks with stablecoin-backed cards* using Privy’s prebuilt components and @stripe Issuing.
Launching a card program* has traditionally meant managing onboarding, KYC, fraud tooling, support, and bank approval across multiple vendors.
Privy’s prebuilt components bring that experience together, with pre-approved UI for onboarding, card creation, transaction history, and card management embedded directly into your product.
With Privy and Stripe Issuing, teams get:
✔️ Prebuilt components that streamline approval + launch
✔️ End-user support, fraud tooling, and pre-approved fund flows
✔️ Just-in-time funding directly from wallet balances
This means users can set up a card in a few taps and spend their stablecoin balance wherever Visa is accepted.*

if you want to have fun on Fridays again, we’re hiring at @privy_io
A lot of workplace culture died after Covid and never recovered. Yes, working from home is probably bad for you as a whole - but I’ve noticed in my own workplace that nobody uses the environment as a social launchpad anymore - which should be its biggest utility.
I remember in pre Covid times there were at least moments of serendipitous fun. In this post Covid era rife with economic pessimism, I get the sense that people are generally afraid to take any sort of liberties in the workplace, even if it’s something as benign as taking a long lunch.
Fridays used to have a good energy to them. Now I dread them. You can hear a pin drop in my office most Fridays. Small talk has been killed in the name of productivity. I know this isn’t all workplaces but I have a feeling I’m not alone here.
If you’re lucky enough to work somewhere that hasn’t been managed-to-death, count your blessings. Otherwise I am forced conclude that working from home is the lesser evil, even if not by much.
tldr: money has to reside somewhere, and @privy_io builds the world's best programmable vaults
Looking back at the past year:
assets in Privy wallets have grown ~25x, monthly active developers are up ~3x, revenue is up ~9x, and Privy now facilitates nearly $25B of monthly transaction volume
@tryramp, @deel, @Klarna, @felixpago, @HyperliquidX, and thousands of other businesses are building embedded banking functionality on Privy!
Today is probably a good time to check in on things with @privy_io, which became part of @stripe just over a year ago.
Our acquisition was predicated on three factors: stablecoin growth, self-custody as a key enabler of broader global coverage, and rapidly increasing demand for programmable financial infrastructure. As we said at the time, "money has to reside somewhere, and Privy builds the world's best programmable vaults."
Since then, the Privy team has executed exceptionally well: assets in Privy wallets have grown ~25x, monthly active developers are up ~3x, revenue is up ~9x, and Privy now facilitates nearly $25B of monthly transaction volume. @tryramp, @Deel, @Klarna, @felixpago, @HyperliquidX, and thousands of other businesses are building embedded banking functionality on Privy.
At Stripe, we're deeply integrating Privy into Treasury, @Link, and Connect. In each case, it's accelerating our global expansion, and enabling us to build better functionality faster. (Coming soon: @Link balances.)
We're also seeing that Privy's wallet infrastructure is the ideal substrate for agents to transact and earn -- live today with @merit_systems, @orthogonal_sh, @Nevermined_ai, @prlnet, and more. Developers prefer programmable financial infrastructure, but agents need it. We expect that the agentic economy will continue to grow extremely quickly.
The Privy team has maintained remarkable product velocity, with major launches this year including deposit addresses, earning on Privy balances, digital asset accounts, custodial wallets, and Stripe's own stablecoin cards.
It's also been neat to see how Privy has been accelerated by Stripe, with better onramps, @stablecoin payment rails and licenses, Stripe's fiat capabilities and issuing stack, and integration with @Tempo.
Together, we're building one API for holding stablecoin balances and earning yield, moving money in and out of fiat, and orchestrating spend with cards. We still have a lot of work to do, not least in integrating everything across Privy, Bridge, and the rest of Stripe -- there's been so much feature and functionality expansion that we haven't yet had much time to reconcile everything. Overall, though, I'm very happy with how things are going, and excited by where these capabilities are headed.
If you're interested in working on the future of stablecoins, agentic payments, and crypto's deployment in the real world, you should get in touch with @sternhenri (now leading all of @StripeCrypto) or others on the team.

Deel pays contractors in 80+ countries on the full Stripe stack: using @privy_io for wallets, @Stablecoin for fiat-to-stablecoin orchestration and issuing DLUSD.
Now, those payouts can remain private with Tempo Zones.
Privacy is live on Tempo.
Tempo Zones let enterprises keep customer stablecoin balances and payments private, with built-in compliance controls and access to global liquidity.
@deel is the first customer with Zones live in production.

It's crazy that anyone can see every payment you put on a public blockchain
We fixed this on @tempo with Zones: private accounts where you control who sees what, and they still work with DeFi, vaults, RWAs, ramps and bridges
It's been great working with @thierryEdde44 and the @deel team building with us as an early customer!
Payroll has to be private. That’s been non-negotiable for us since day one of building the @deel stablecoin wallet.
Tempo Zones gives us that privacy, so we can bring the benefits of stablecoins to our users.
Really enjoyed working on zones with @liamihorne and the @tempo team!
great opportunity!
Stripe Sessions is looking for speakers for its dedicated crypto track next year.
If you’re building with stablecoins or crypto, we want to hear what you’ve learned: what worked, what didn’t, and what you’re building next.

we're looking for someone with a research background who's: hungry, opinionated and wants real ownership over how we go to market in crypto
you'll find the best teams before anyone else is talking to them, call where the market's heading next, and build the relationships that turn into deals

It is honestly pretty funny to see SF AI people design communication and security protocols for consumers agents that resemble crypto more than centralized systems
Perhaps the threat models of open, permissionless networks was more right than the many detractors want to admit
