last thing i'll say - what's interesting about the ao3 outage is that if you've been engaged with writers already, you have access to their writing if you just ask! all of this chaos highlights increasing decentralization of fandom and the growing number of lurkers.

sure, it sucks that ao3 is down. there's some fics that i might want to read or reference. but i also won't die! more importantly, i already follow the authors on tumblr so i can ask for copies if i really need it!!

if ao3 being down is really that huge a problem to you, i think it's worth questioning if you have been an active participant in these communities. it's not numbers that authors want (though it's nice to see), it's people who will put the blorbos in situations with you!!

the reason i hate the idea of someone compiling my works to gdrive is that some of you haven't turned off gemini summaries in your pdf viewer and i do NOT want my writing to be fed into genai over and over again. thx!
