Its time to take building houses seriously by taking a page out of one of the most success Metro projects in the world, the Hong Kong MRT.
Essentially a property development scheme with an associated metro development to generate major housing development

"The housing market is being put under intense pressure" - One-in-seven Irish homes is now selling for 20% over the asking price.

Its 100 years of failure to provide basic infrastructure. We believe with our proposal through a Private Public Partnership, we can deliver this project by 2032, through the Melis Method (Melis, the man who transformed the Madrid Metro)

1 of the biggest issues for transport in Dublin, is the lack of true integration between bus and rail stations
The majority of Dublin's major bus routes are designed to avoid the main rail stations in the city centre, making most of the inter modal changes much less convenient

Ireland is one of the only countries in Europe WITHOUT a metro and is happy to waste money on endless plans
100,000km of rail has been built across Europe in the last 100 years, but none of that was here
Crazy no one running for #GE24 is interested in Metro Dublin Project 2032
And Ireland decides to tear up its rail network and then wastes millions on plans for a single metro line!
Its time for the private sector to fill that gap

What Ireland is NOT doing but SHOULD be doing.
Twickenham station, London is the PERFECT example of how mixed used development as part of rail station should be done
Now imagine how many apartments, shops, community facilities we could have if Irish Rail stations were like this
To our friends in Belfast and Cork
If there was direct rail service between these 2 cities via Dublin Airport, would it be of benefit to you?

Thats all we hear and politicians say that they plan to fix it, BUT the REAL REASON behind the lack of houses being built needs to be addressed
Many housing developments get refused planning due to lack of transit infrastructure

Government happy to waste taxpayer money plans after plans that amount to nothing but are happy to ignore our proposal for a 95km metro system by 2032 that wont cost the taxpayer a cent
Any politician worth their salt would and look at the alternatives

Has no one actually read the plans??
The developer, Hammerson, have 2 videos, totalling 3 hours, discussing the project
They go into a huge amount of detail about preserving the history of Moore Street and surrounding streets
Completely unfounded reaction due to lack of research

Metro Dublin Project 2032 can facilitate the construction up to 80,000 houses per year through the Hong Kong MRT and Metro Madrid method of development
Fine Gael should be jumping at this and it would contribute to the 303,000 homes plan
@Alan_Dillon

Fine Gael will build 303,000 homes in the lifetime of the next government, and we have a clear plan on how we will achieve this.
Opposition parties have set high targets, but do not have a credible plan to achieve these targets.
@Paschald @FineGael

Very showing how nearly NO politicians have reached out to us about our plan. Is there really such a lack of interest in serious public transport by those in charge?
Especially during election times, something like this wouldve gotten some votes

Ireland has no history of constructing railways since independence, only ripping up what we had and countless plans that amounted to nothing.
Here's what Dublin could learn from Toronto.
