Americans should pay attention to Poland. We’re also a polarized country where politicians appoint the judges who have the final say on the law. When one vacancy can become a political earthquake, a fight over the courts can become a fight over the constitutional order itself.
Details of what is happening in Warsaw Poland right now:
A long standing power struggle between the countries two main political parties over Judges in the countries judiciary has spilled out after Judge Anna Korwin-Piotrowska who is linked to the current Prime minister Tusk has suspended two other judges both sides linked to the opposing PIS Party.
This caused outrage amongst PIS supporters who flocked to the countries constitutional court, the Judge Anna Korwin then called police to protect her which have surrounded the building which is widely pictured, the police have now had clashes with protestors.
The President of Poland has turned his plane around on a diplomatic flight to Senegal calling the suspension of judges and the police presence near the courthouse a coup attempt by the Prime minister tusk and a massive overstep of Judicial power.

بعد از انتخابات میان‌دوره‌ای آمریکا، دیگر افق روشنی پیش روی جمهوری اسلامی نیست. تأثیر این انتخابات بر مسئله ایران کمتر از آن چیزی است که جمهوری اسلامی به آن امید بسته است. حتی میشود استدلال کرد که ترامپ درصورت باخت در انتخابات، از روی انتقام دست به حرکتهای تندتری بزند.
در نهایت، جمهوری اسلامی باید تصمیم بگیرد که ۴۰۰ کیلوگرم مواد غنی‌شده را تحویل دهد و حرکت به سمت سلاح هسته‌ای را، حداقل فعلاً، کنار بگذارد یا ریسک آن را بپذیرد و با سرعت به سمت ساخت سلاح هسته‌ای برود. حد وسطی وجود ندارد.

It increasingly looks as though the regime is preparing for another limited war. The key word here is “limited.”
For the Islamist regime in Tehran, another war that fails to topple it is a victory it can sell to its shrinking hardline base.
The regime is increasingly less a state and more a radical Islamist movement. Its survival depends on a narrow ideological base of fanatics willing to kill to keep it in power, as long as it remains faithful to its radical ideology.
This is precisely why the regime cannot make a deal with the West. Facing the constant threat of an uprising by millions of Iranians, it cannot afford to alienate the radical base on which its survival depends.
The regime sees the next two years as its final test. Its hope is to survive until 2028 brings a regime-friendly administration to the White House, giving it the opportunity to rebuild its missile program, recover its strength, and reassert its dominance over the region.
The solution has been, and remains, to bring down the Islamist regime before 2028. To do that the Iranian people and their role should be the key element in any planning for the next two years.
