What comes after M1/M2? In our Perspective with @FGinhoux in @ImmunityCP we explore how single-cell technologies and AI can decode the gene programs macrophages use across tissues & microenvironments, and how this modular view could transform immunotherapy

Meet our team:
Hi I'm Noël :)
I am a computational researcher and recently started my PhD in the Ingelfinger lab.
I was drawn to the lab’s collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to adress complex biological questions and its strong connection to clinical applications.
What I did before:
I studied Mathematics in Freiburg and Computational Neuroscience in Tübingen with a focus on machine learning. I worked on dimensionality reduction methods and later explored equivariant SSL in my master's thesis.
Thanks a lot @felixjhartmann for giving an inspiring seminar about the spatial metabolic profiling of clinical cancer samples and their predictive power for immunotherapy response 🔥🔥
Upcoming CRC1479 Seminar

Must read! Fantastic work by @RouvenHoefflin & the @TiroshLab team! Congratulations to everyone!
🧵1/ Happy to share our new study:
"Spatial analysis reveals the evolving organization of IDH-mutant glioma"
We asked: How is spatial organization established in glioma before the hypoxic architecture of advanced disease emerges?

Thank you @Cell for highlighting our work on developing the next generation of CAR T cell therapies for immune reset!
In the latest issue! Localized PD-1 CAR T therapy reprograms neuroinflammation dlvr.it/TVMdn3
Big congrats, Sarah!
I heard Sarah may be hiring, reach out to her if you wanna start a competitive PhD about neuroimmunology! 🫶
Excited to share that I’ve been awarded an @ERC_Research StG! 🎉
My project REMIND asks: How does the inflamed CNS instruct the immune cells that enter it? 🧠🔬
Huge thanks to my team, mentors, colleagues, friends and family for all their support. ❤️
@UZH_en @Unispital_USZ
Celebrating @PabloH_G for successfully defending his masters thesis in our lab! What a fantastic job! 🔥🔥🔥
Meet our team:
Hi! I’m Julia :)
I'm a PhD student in the Ingelfinger Lab, which I joined in May 2026.
What drew me here was the exciting research project, the collaborative environment, and the opportunity to explore state-of-the-art technologies in cancer immunology.
These experiences sparked my fascination with the interplay between the immune system and cancer, ultimately leading me to pursue a PhD in cancer immunology.
