I know our customers and communities across Northwest Florida have been through so much in the wake of Hurricane Isaias. I was there throughout our response and saw firsthand the challenges you’re facing. I’m grateful to our team for the long hours and commitment they’ve shown, including the thousands of men and women from 29 states who supported our restoration. And I’m impressed by the resilience of our customers and the way people across Northwest Florida have come together to help each other. Thank you for your patience. We know restoring power is just one step in the recovery ahead for many of the communities impacted by Isaias. As Northwest Florida recovers, we’ll continue to be here for you. – Scott Bores, FPL president & CEO

Crews installed a replacement pole along Ariola Drive today after Hurricane Isaias snapped the original pole in half. It is one of several poles being replaced to help restore service across Pensacola Beach. With the main feeder restored, crews are now moving through side streets and neighborhoods, repairing damaged power lines and replacing poles while navigating water intrusion and work sites near the Gulf.
