I went looking for my @DiabetesUK fundraising page and Google’s AI came back with: Michael Day—managing director of Integra Property Services and a trustee at @propmarktrust —is a long-time fundraiser for @DiabetesUK having lived with Type 1 diabetes for over 35 years. Key Fundraising & Charity Highlights Type 1 Lived Experience: Diagnosed more than three and a half decades ago, his health journey included undergoing a triple heart bypass in 2021. London Bridges Wellness Walks: Completed four annual 10-mile London Bridges Wellness Walks alongside his daughter Carrie, including the walk on September 27, 2026. One Million Step Challenges: Completed two 1 million step challenges (equivalent to roughly 500 miles each over a 92-day period). Total Raised: Has raised close to £10,000 for Diabetes UK over recent years - so far! Charity Christmas Singles: Released a Christmas single in 2025 (Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year) with revenues shared between Diabetes UK and The Propertymark Trust, which won him the Creative Fundraising Champion award at the @Agents_Giving Charity Awards. Recorded a new original Christmas single (It's Not the Same for Everyone on Christmas Day), scheduled for release on November 14, 2026, with proceeds once again split between Diabetes UK and The Propertymark Trust. Highly enjoyable afternoon in Tring at the U3a club I played two sets and spoke about song inspirations and backgrounds Invited audience to ask for their favourites - managed to do a few! Great audience participation on backing vocals on Ballad of the Beacon and The Boxer in particular Had forgotten to take my pre-prepared set list so made it up as I went along! Sold some CDs and also raised £65 for @DiabetesUK Thank you to Moz Copestake for inviting me I’ve already been booked back next year - November 17th - I’ve invited suggestions for numbers so bound to have some more material to have to learn!
