Please pray for he repose of the soul of Janice McCauley, who passed this morning, on the feast of the Divine Maternity of Mary at 7:40 AM. She received the anointing many times, but this past week, in God’s great mercy, she was able to receive viaticum and the apostolic blessing. She turned 94 on September 1st, and suffered greatly. She had COPD, congestive heart failure, leukemia, kidney failure among other issues. I pray her long-suffering was purgative to such a degree that she is, in God’s infinite mercy, reunited with my late uncle Kevin who died as a child, my sister, my grandpa who preceded her in death nearly 12 years ago, and her own parents.

To be very clear: Elizabeth Holmes did not just separate a bunch of rich fools from their money. Her fake tests were being implemented in medical practice and pharmacies. Real human beings received unnecessary received incorrect medical diagnoses and treatment bc of her lies.

Today is my grandma’s funeral. Please pray for her and our family as we lay our matriarch to rest. She will be buried with my grandpa and late uncle Kevin, who died as a young boy. Their graves are near my sister’s as well. 🖤 I’m so grateful she will be laid to rest on such a wonderful feast day.

When my grandma was in hospice, she couldn’t talk or move. We sat around her telling stories and holding her hand. Once it was just her and I alone, I cuddled up next to her and told her I was pregnant with a baby girl. She squeezed my hand ever so slightly and gave a small smile

As a freshman in college, I saw my grandparents weekly and they were always so generous. My grandma drove me to my job interview at Target because I had ‘t figured out it the bus system in St. Paul yet. She also took me to buy my first “fancy” dress coat so I could look “professional” for my interview. After the interview, we were rear ended on Snelling, and I’ll never forget her reaction: “well, I didn’t need that today” and that was it 😆

She also saw on Thanksgiving when I was a sophomore in HS that I had pierced my ears again (I had added a third piercing on each of my tiny ears), and she thought they were so cute! My mom didn’t know yet though so it was quite the ordeal hahaha. My grandma unknowingly ratted me out!
