When you look at the replies to this, you'd be forgiven for thinking that maybe shutting down Arc was a bad idea…
What an absolute bummer.
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.
That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community.
Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet today’s security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward.
We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how:
· Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly.
· Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact.
· Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security.
· The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional.
Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.
The thing that Dia doesn't have, that was *the* killer feature in Arc, was Air Traffic Control. Anyone know of a browser that handles routing to multiple profiles as well as Arc does?

PHP CVE patch tip:
Forge's Ubuntu PPAs don't have the fix yet. My newest Forge server (26.04) uses packages.sury.org and patched with a plain apt upgrade.
I pointed my 22.04 and 24.04 servers at packages.sury.org too and they're now on 8.2.35 and 8.4.27 🎉
I have never been so happy to see the number 12 in my life 😂

My teenage daughter just asked me to help her with her hair the morning of picture day and I feel like I just won the most prestigious award possible.

Hi, I'm Felix. I'm an eng lead working on Claude. I love watching people take flight and do things they never thought possible.
We often describe that as "being more ambitious" when using AI, which is tricky advice to follow. I wrote a tutorial:

I love that this went from an offhand comment during a phone call to a released feature in less than two hours! 🎉
Announcing a free Laravel News MCP thanks to my friend @inxilpro. It's funny what a phone call can lead to. Also consider this beta, it went from idea to published in an hour 😅
It’s an accidental Laravel community day for me…
Bumped into @BrianDainis at the park this morning.
Had an impromptu call with @ericlbarnes
Headed to NYC in a bit to hang with @joetannenbaum (also very last-minute plans)
Love it!
