Xcode just shipped a headless MCP server. Build, run, and test on Simulator, straight from your agent, no IDE window required. "Quit Xcode. We're getting started." 🫡 Feels like the first real crack in "you must open Xcode to ship iOS." Where this goes in 12 months will be interesting to see!

Half your backlog is copy fixes and dead links your PM would've made themselves, if they could touch the repo. @base44's Base Code opens your actual codebase to the whole team from a browser. Changes land as normal PRs. You still merge everything. 50 free coupons, DM me.

Your app already runs on iPhone Duo. Centered. With black bars. iOS Code Reviews #86 is out: a special issue on getting your app to the inner display before Oct 23. Size classes for both screens, asymmetric safe areas, the new ReservedRegion API, and why UIRequiresFullScreen won't save you. Code included. Plus: we're going weekly, with 3 placements per edition for your own apps.

OpenAI just shipped GPT-6 Astra and had to gate part of it, the model got good enough at finding zero-days on its own that it crossed their "critical" cybersecurity line. If you're on a security team, that vetted defender access is worth requesting. The 99.9% ARC-AGI-3 number going around is from a favorable harness though. Standard harness: 62.7%.

RIP Rosetta. Apple just told Mac App Store devs they can finally drop Intel support. After 6 years of universal binaries being "the responsible thing to do," it's about to be the only thing that works. Say your goodbyes to that dusty x86 build 🫡

Issue #85 is up. Headless Xcode, the foldable clues buried in iOS 27, and the layout patterns worth learning before either lands on your desk. Xcode 27 ships seven of Apple's own coding skills, built in. One command exports them: SwiftUI patterns, UIKit modernization, a security audit checklist, written by Apple, readable by your agent.
