Jalna hosted its first-ever Industrial Summit — and it opened up an important conversation about where the district goes from here. More than 450 industry leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, bankers and stakeholders came together to discuss Jalna’s economic future. By the end of the day, the summit had seen over ₹8,000 crore in investment intent. ₹8,000 crore is a big number. But what it could mean for Jalna is far more important. More industries. Stronger local businesses. New opportunities for our young people closer to home. Better market linkages for farmers. And perhaps most importantly, greater confidence in Jalna as a place to invest and grow. Jalna already has a strong industrial identity. We are known for Steel and Seeds. Silk is now emerging as another promising sector, creating a link between rural livelihoods, farmers, enterprise and larger markets. But there is much more that Jalna can do. One of our biggest opportunities is the Multi-Modal Logistics Park and Dry Port. With the Dry Port operational and connectivity expanding, Jalna has the potential to become an important logistics and EXIM gateway not only for the district, but for Marathwada. There were some very positive outcomes from the day. Lloyds Metals expressed investment intent of ₹2,000 crore in the near term and ₹6,000 crore over the longer term. Major manufacturers also showed interest in developing local vendors in Jalna, which can open up opportunities for our MSMEs and ancillary industries. But a summit is only the beginning. The real work starts when an investment moves from a discussion in a conference hall to land, approvals, infrastructure, employment and finally an operating enterprise. That is where the administration has an important role to play. We want to be an enabler, not a gatekeeper — helping serious investors navigate land, infrastructure, connectivity, clearances and coordination so that projects can actually happen on the ground. Jalna already has the entrepreneurial spirit. It has strong industries, an emerging logistics advantage and people willing to build. The next step is to turn that potential into opportunity — and opportunity into growth. JALNA — Strong Foundations. Global Ambitions.
