«Постепенно открылось мне, что линия, разделяющая добро и зло, проходит не между государствами, не между классами, не между партиями – она проходит через каждое человеческое сердце – и через все человеческие сердца. Линия эта подвижна, она колеблется в нас с годами. Даже в сердце, объятым злом, она удерживает маленький плацдарм добра. Даже в наидобрейшем сердце – неискорененный уголок зла» - Солженицын

There might be no better sales insight than this one.
"People don't want to be sold, but they love shopping."
Ryan Serhant explains the art of the sale.
"People don't want to be sold, but they love shopping."
"I see a lot of people who are terrible at sales are trying to sell me the bed and they try to sell me the bed that I can then go and have a dream in. And that is not how you do it. You sell the dream first, bed second."
I notice the same so as all of my friends who won’t live in the EU and regularly travel there, notice the same
I'm noticing Westerners are continously having lower standards every year and seem to not even notice the declining quality standards of everything around them
I do notice it and when I tell them (IRL or on here) they make me sound jaded or disconnected from reality as if we expect too much
They're literally boiling the frog and most don't notice it
Then we fly out to Switzerland, UAE or East and parts of South East Asia and we realize there's nothing to complain about so it's not us, it's the West
Pretty cool
Chief Design Officer @jgebbia officially unveils America.gov, the new online home for the United States of America
Exactly. The best place for victim mentality peeps
This is great!
Believe it or not, I still check in to every venues I go to! Since 2011!
More Americans believe so? It feels like it is undoubtedly so.
It’s for the same reason I believe the only way to save Canada is to level it to the ground and rebuild it from scratch.
More Americans believe we’ll colonize the moon before we fix K-12 education. This is a policy problem.
We have been building a solution that’s already trusted by many of the Fortune 500 as well as 1/3 of federal and state elected officials in the United States.
Organizations are more impacted by policy than by financial markets. Yet financial markets have been real-time for decades, and policy markets are still nearly impossible to follow.
@StateAffairsUS has raised over $70M from @rabois, @khoslaventures, @foundersfund and others to fix that.
We are creating the world’s first real-time knowledge graph for policy and regulatory markets. This platform is foundationally built on non-partisan journalism and the collection of on-the-ground data that isn’t digitally accessible.
In the future, we believe every executive will watch policy markets the way they watch financial markets. Instead of reacting to regulation, they’ll navigate it proactively.
Policy should iterate at the speed of our most innovative industries.
Feel the same
I left Canada when most of the population voted in liberals multiple times. When I got yelled at for getting in an elevator without a mask. When I wasn’t allowed to go buy groceries without a vaccine card. When my neighbors called the police on us for inviting family over. After I got harassed by a homeless man on the subway with my 2 year old and nobody stepped in. After areas in downtown Toronto (where I lived) were taken over by tents and addicts. After I was told there was a 2 year waiting list for an ankle replacement when I couldn’t walk. After I had to find a surgeon out of country. After I’d spent days waiting in emergency for subpar “health care”.
It’s not just the government. It’s the people in Canada too. And no, not all of them, but in Toronto? In Quebec? A lot of them. And it’s getting worse not better.
I miss Canada. I miss old Canada. I miss old Toronto pre-2016. But it wasn’t just the government that wrecked it. It was the entitled, naive people living there that brought it on.
I feel terrible for Canadians (especially Albertans) that can’t pick up and leave but I’m sure as hell not going back until it doesn’t feel like a 3rd world country full of people who hate people like me.
Canada is hypocritical AF. Not just in this case, in general too
🇨🇦 Canada spent years renaming streets, squares, universities, buildings and removing statues in the name of “reconciliation” and “reconsidering history.”
Yonge-Dundas Square → Sankofa Square.
Ryerson University → Toronto Metropolitan University.
Amherst Street → Rue Atateken.
Cornwallis Street → Nora Bernard Street.
Langevin Block → Office of the Prime Minister and Privy Council.
Sir John A. Macdonald statues removed in Victoria, Regina, Kingston and Charlottetown.
Schools, parks and public buildings renamed across the country.
Then Trump renames Lake Ontario and suddenly Canada discovers:
“YOU CAN’T JUST ERASE HISTORY!”
Oh, NOW names matter? 😂🇨🇦
Apparently Canadian history is endlessly negotiable…
until an American picks up the Sharpie. 🇺🇸
