Rico Payton, D2 CB from Pittsburgh State, might be one of the biggest dark horses in this year’s draft class, scout says.
A long, rangy corner who was nominated for defensive player of the year this past season, blew his pro day out of the water, sources say:
40” vertical, 6.98 L drill, and 4.13 shuttle, all of which would have placed 4th had he been at the combine.
🤯
The 6’0 195 lb playmaker is expected to be invited to multiple top 30 visits.

Thank you God ✔️
Pitt State Cornerback Rico Payton impressed at Pro Day.
Turned in some really good numbers in the testing and just looked really clean and smooth in the position drills.
Payton is a playmaker and has the size and speed to play at the next level.
