I think I’ve come to the realization that maybe just maybe Emily Wilson did not want Nolan to direct the Odyssey adaptation. Instead, she might have been more happy with a Fennell take…hear me out. Good food on screen and lots of “spicy time.” (1/3)
1. Circe: Plenty of wine and home cooked meals. Going animalistic while fellow animal-men watch on…
2. Calypso: Fresh fish, exotic fruit, crashing waves on bodies, and sand EVERYWHERE… (2/3)
Isn’t there always a bad review? What’s the difference between Wilson’s critique and any other negative review? Look at Roger Ebert…
On Dead Poets Society: “I was so moved, I wanted to throw up.”
On Gladiator: “A foolish choice in art direction casts a pall over Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator” that no swordplay can cut through.”
On The Usual Suspects: “To the degree that I do understand, I don’t care.”
Anyway, if you want another take on Nolan's the Odyssey, check out my latest video: youtu.be/TdkpEMR4nTA?si=i3Q1…
A negative review that’s been heard around the world it seems. Was she too harsh? Are we blinded by a great theater experience that we don’t want to hear negativity? What are your thoughts on Wilson vs. Nolan’s Odyssey?
If you want to hear my thoughts (criticisms 😅) on the film, check out my longer video (with skits!): youtu.be/TdkpEMR4nTA
Why can’t I ever spell the Odyssey when I need to? Its always, Odyessy. Or, Odeyessy. Don't even get me started on Odetotheyesay.
Price being a factor/influence of the Willow is a first, haha. This poor girl "glitches" because she is buried inside herself. She tries to take control multiple times, but is forced to do it within the bounds of this Willow/Wish version of herself.
Is there a reason why Real Nikki glitches in and out after Bear makes the wish?
Hope the title makes sense. I was wondering why Real Nikki glitches when she goes, “wtf” and you can see Wish Nikki take control again. Is it because real Nikki is fighting for control of her conscious over Wish Nikki? Or is it due to the possible weakness of the one wish willow since it’s only $6.99? I was just wondering why the wish seemed to have weak spots.
Here me out...Citizen Kane Parsons!
Kane Parsons & Orson Welles Similarities:
1. Both are/were young directors. Orson 25 when he directed his infamous Citizen Kane in 1941. Kane 20 when he directed in his Backrooms.
2. They both rose to fame with viral horror/sci fi
1/2
Welles with his War of the Worlds broadcast and Parsons with his Backrooms shorts.
3. Both deal with the subconscious, nihilism, and psychological horror
I did a whole deep dive on this and more: youtu.be/e2fZR2ZKzpM
Obsession review up now! My take? The story felt classic, but new at the same time. Inde Navarette stole the show. No, I don't think Nikki is the cat (that's a whole other video in the works).
It’s been a hot minute, but I’m back with my take on the latest Animal Farm Adaptation! What better way to talk about this fart-filled-flick than channel my inner e-girl with a little satirical livestream commentary.
