"Bring me a solution, not a problem". Some leaders think that when they say this, they're being "empowering". They're actually encouraging sub-optimal solutions, rather than collaborative problem-solving & risking issues being swept under the carpet. There's another way: medium.com/swlh/great-leader…. Please stop using JUST-Without you, nothing in the #NHS would function
I’m just a HCA
I’m just a porter
I’m just a cleaner
I’m just a receptionist
I’m just a cook
I’m just a technician
I’m just a band 2,3,4,5…
YOU are helping to run the NHS
YOU are amazing ✊
YOU are valued 🌟

NHS nurses hold the hands, tend the wounds, save the lives, wash the dead. They comfort us, console us, diagnose us, save us. They toil & smile & endlessly care.
Not a single NHS nurse wants to strike tomorrow. They’re desperate.
Please show NHS nurses some love. Please RT 💙

It’s not uncommon for digital to mean more work for NHS & social care staff.
For example remote monitoring tech generates data to analyse & manage on top of existing workloads.
Tech can help improve services but staff are equally needed.
We'll take your 3 episodes and raise you 14 articles. Beautifully demonstrating their point here. Bravo @DailyMailUK #HarryandMeghanonNetflix

To my fellow #NHS managers, admin staff & office workers, your roles are critical in helping manage the patient backlogs, organise the clinical sessions, support our clinical staff to focus on patient care (not on organisational tasks) without you, things would fall apart

Here's a great sketchnote from @BurnhamLandD on how leaders can enable a powerful culture of psychological safety in the workplace. The ways we behave, the relationships we build & the things we give priority to, create the conditions that enable our teams to do their best work.
Good morning to the 255,748 people in the queue before me for Peter Kay tickets. Still a national treasure I see. Please remain orderly and avoid direct eye contact whilst we patiently wait our turn.
Fully behind this. Digital within the NHS - or any organisation - is so much more than a capital overhead. Successful Digital strategy starts with expert representation at board level.
Looking forward to meeting the lovely folk of
@DigHealthLeader #cohort5 this morning. Along with @LauraMcG_CCIO @Duffnet1970s I will be making the case for board representation for digital.
(honestly this is isn't a plea for more followers...*)
