happy babies! 🐶😍
enjoy your sunday with them, dawd @stgatchalian! ☺️
there’s really something worth watching in SP Sherwin’s interviews, too.
based on how he explains things, you get a sense of how seriously he takes his job and his responsibility in leading the Senate. and i think visible naman ‘yung effort, especially with the legislative work they’ve been doing since he became SP. as he mentioned in the interview, marami na silang naipasang bills in just the first four months of his term as Senate President. of course, it’s not just about the number of bills passed, but i appreciate seeing that much legislative work being done.
and, of course, he’s never beating the “strong ally” ni Sen. Risa allegations. two of the bills he mentioned sa interview were the “anti-online sexual exploitation” bill, or Sagip Bata Act, and the Philippine Geriatric Center Act. both are connected to Sen. Risa’s legislative advocacies, and she has played a role in advancing these measures. i just appreciate seeing their work intersect like that. beyond the WinRi moments we enjoy, there’s actual legislative work and shared advocacies worth paying attention to.
makikita mo rin talaga how passionate he is about education, energy, and the economy. these are areas he has consistently focused on even before becoming SP, and it’s nice to hear him talk about them in the context of his responsibilities as SP.
another thing i appreciated was what he said about the impeachment trial. i appreciate how he emphasized that the verdict should be based on the evidence presented by both the prosecution and the defense, rather than external pressure or political considerations.
then there’s the personal side of the interview. when asked about his love life, he said he would leave it up to God’s will. and well, i’m praying with you, dawd @stgatchalian. i genuinely hope that, after everything you’ve given and continue to give to your work, you’ll also find someone to share your life with. someone you can come home to. someone who will love you genuinely, not just for what you do or what you can give, but for who you are. because i really think that when you love someone, you’ll give that person everything you have, too. i hope you get to experience that kind of love.
i also appreciate how he didn’t entertain questions about his past relationship. wala lang, i just thought it was a good example of knowing which questions to answer and which ones don’t really need a response. not everything personal has to be discussed publicly, and i respect that.
and then there’s his answer about how he wants people to remember his time as Senate President. i really liked that part.
“leadership by example.”
he wants to work as hard as he can, give his best to the institution and the country, and make sure that every centavo paid by Filipino taxpayers isn’t wasted, but put to good use in providing the best possible public service.
for me, that’s a meaningful thing to say, especially given the the responsibilities that come with his position. of course, what matters in the end is how that commitment translates into actual work and results. but i appreciate that he recognizes the importance of accountability and making sure that the people get something meaningful out of the taxes they pay. and i’ll continue watching his work and how he puts those words into action.
as for the WinRi side of the interview, i think kanya-kanya na lang talaga ng interpretation ang manonood, hehe. i won’t pretend that my own feelings about them don’t influence how i see certain things, but i also think it’s okay to enjoy a moment without insisting that everyone interpret it the same way. we can appreciate what we see, have our own little kilig moments, and leave room for things we don’t know.
basta ako... ✨🥹🩵
i’m so overwhelmed sa mga clips na bumungad sa akin. 😭 hindi ko mapigilang mapangiti kasi ano... basta, panoorin ko muna nang buo and let me process everything hahaha! balik na lang siguro ako bukas? 🤪😆

#NasaanSiSenRi kahapon? 💜
After attending the Mental Health Caravan in Tanauan, Batangas, SenRi proceeded to St. Jude College in Dasmariñas, Cavite, where she served as a guest speaker. 💜✨
Another day of meaningful engagements and dedicated service to the Filipino people! 🇵🇭
