Yes, I did, and Hürzeler has been there for three seasons. If Alonso stays for three seasons, we will play better than that. Plus, he also beat that Brighton team in his first month in the Premier League.
The difference between teams with long-term managers and one with a new manager is usually stability. You can't have stability in how you apply a manager's principles if he is new. That is why you will see inconsistent performances at the beginning.
But our fans will never learn. When you talk about the benefits of time, they will think it's a joke. Yet those fans who use Brighton as a reference will still be the first to question Alonso after two months.
You guys should calm down, and for once accept the process and see it unfold. You will be a joker if you believe that Alonso doesn't see his errors and the players errors that need to be corrected.
In due course, the players will learn to apply his style and principles even in their sleep. That's what Arsenal and Brighton have and are enjoying. The same with City with Maresca because Maresca learned from Pep. They do the same thing.
