“Even though it is an adaptation, we hope we made you proud,” declared #BeaBinene, who admitted feeling overwhelmed by the love and dedication of fans supporting her and on-screen partner #WilbertRoss.
Their Philippine adaptation of the Thai horror-comedy “Pee Mak” continues its box-office run, earning ₱80 million in just 12 days and inching closer to the ₱100-million mark.
Beyond the film’s commercial success, Bea is particularly touched by the efforts of supporters of their popular #WilBea tandem, who have found creative ways to express their appreciation for the onscreen partnership.
For the actress, the fans’ dedication extends far beyond online interactions. She is amazed by the time, thought, and effort they invest in showing their support for the tandem.
“It just feels overwhelming, in a good way po, and nakakabilib kasi hindi lang po oras ang ibinibigay ng fans, hindi lang support online, pero kahit ‘yong ideas nila and thoughts nila,” she shared in radar Entertainment’s interview.
The outpouring of support has made the experience even more meaningful for Bea, especially as the film continues to draw audiences in its second week in cinemas.
Directed by Victor Villanueva, “Pee Mak” is the Filipino adaptation of the 2013 Thai blockbuster. Bea plays Pee-Nang, the wife at the center of the horror-comedy, alongside Wilbert, Vandolph Quizon, TJ Valderrama, Jairus Aquino, and Gian Bernardino of Cup of Joe.
While adapting a beloved foreign film comes with expectations, Bea hopes the local version offers Filipino moviegoers a distinct and enjoyable experience.
“We hope the Philippine version made you really proud,” she said.
She also expre ssed hope that audiences enjoyed the film’s mix of laughter and thrills, encouraging moviegoers to continue supporting the production.
“Para sa akin kasi, ang dami pong comments na kasi adaptation ganito, ganyan, but even if it is an adaptation, we hope that it’s an adaptation that we are all proud of. Maraming salamat po, now on our second week. We still ask for your support to watch,” she added.
Bea also credited the people behind the production for working together to give the Filipino adaptation its own identity.
“With the help of the whole team na gumagawa ng project, as in talagang sila and kami, tulong-tulong para magkaroon ng distinct flavor ako, kami, dito sa project na ’to,” she said.
Giving a glimpse of her role, the actress described Pee-Nang as “isang patay na asawa dito na masarap magluto.”
GRATEFUL FOR A NEW CHAPTER
The film’s performance comes as Bea continues to explore new opportunities following her transition from GMA Network to Viva Artists Agency in September 2022, after nearly two decades as a Kapuso star.
Despite entering a new phase of her career, she remains grateful for the foundation she built during her years with GMA, crediting the network’s training and experiences for helping shape her as an actress.
“Very grateful rin po ako sa Viva, syempre, sa opportunity pero siyempre gusto ko rin po i-acknowledge iyong ginawa rin ng GMA before. I wouldn’t be here without them, kung hindi po nangyari ‘yong mga nangyari dati. Kumbaga lahat po ng experiences, lahat ng training, malaking bagay po doon ang GMA,” she said in radar Entertainment’s interview.
At the same time, Bea expressed appreciation for Viva’s continued trust in her and the opportunities and support she has received since joining the agency.
“But, of course right now I am very thankful to Viva and sobra po akong nagpapasalamat sa kanila sa pagmamahal at tiwala na ibinibigay po nila sa akin,” she added.
With “Pee Mak” closing in on ₱100 million, Bea remains grateful to fans who continue to root for her and Wilbert, showing their love for the tandem through thoughtful and creative gestures.

I wanted to go with them but I’ve been busy with work and all the travels to Cebu, Davao and BS tapos last day na sa amin :(
