Shes “exploiting” a deceased spirit. Meaning, she’s attempting to establish a relationship with the dead (Marilyn) for her benefit. Necromancy and spirit magic both harness energy through rituals to compel a deceased person to reveal hidden information or prophecy, provide protection, influence events, act as a spiritual intermediary, or transfer qualities associated with them.
