No. Texas is what happens when you systematically gut the middle class, hand out tax breaks to political allies, and protect powerful people who should be held accountable. Iran has supposedly been just three weeks away from developing a nuclear weapon for as long as I can remember, and our felon-in-chief was apparently the only one foolish enough to buy into the latest round of fearmongering. We're living in a country stretched to its breaking point. People are financially exhausted, housing is increasingly out of reach, incomes aren't keeping up, and families are questioning whether they can even afford to have children. That's not a healthy economy or a functioning society. And let's not pretend this is some isolated political trend. Every major Republican president in my lifetime has been associated with war, economic turmoil, or policies that have further weakened the American middle class. At some point, people need to stop looking at campaign slogans and start looking at the actual results. The middle class is disappearing, and the people responsible keep asking for another chance to run the country.
