Food and Nutrition classes have kicked off with some exciting practical work, with Year 7 students baking cookies and Year 8 students creating delicious, healthy carrot cakes - yummy!

Well done to all our Y11's on their GCSE results! If you are yet to secure a place in a Sixth Form please contact us.

After a few nervous faces this morning in arrivals students have their tents up and are preparing for their walk and map training #DofE

This morning some of our Y11's were treated to a celebratory Breakfast to recognise their efforts and achievements in their recent Mock examinations. Good Luck to all of our Y11's as they start their GCSE examinations next week. Stay positive, work hard and make it happen.

Wow!!! You did it. You made it to the final 5 choirs in Leicestershire Music choir of the year at Demontfort Hall. A great experience for all involved. You represented the school like true role models and had such great feedback. You were exceptional and made us so proud!

We've taken delivery of our Baby Elephant for the @LOROSHospice Stomp Round Leicester sculpture trail. We have started painting our design and will reveal its name shortly! #stomproundleicester 🐘

Just a few of the elephant sculpture designs we've received so far. It's going to be hard to pick one!

Mrs Hebden was @LOROSHospice for the #stomparoundLeicester community launch. We've adopted a baby elephant sculputre that will feature in the event. Students have been busy coming up with designs for our sculpture!

Last week we had some visitors (from The NHS - Chef Academy) in Food & Nutrition for some of our year 11s, they presented and demonstrated plating skills and chef - knife skills, the students were brilliant - great ambassadors to the school!

Cooking in full swing in Food & Nutrition, with Year 9s and 10s exploring various heat transfer methods from baking pastries in the oven to grilling kebabs!

Our Year 9 & 10 Food stuents have been creating some festive bakes this week 🎄🎅🧁

Some of our GCSE Food & Nutrition students have headed to the markets of London today #Camden #BoroughMarket

We've been raising money for @BBCCiN today with a non-uniform day. Some of our students also created some #pudsey bears in Maths using their compass skills!

We are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor - details here: eteach.com/job/cover-supervi…

We are aware of issues with our @Weduc app not working for all families - we are working to resolve this.

Last week, the Y10 students learned how to portion a whole fresh chicken and then created a variety of dishes, ranging from healthy burgers and fajitas to marinated chicken wings and legs. It was a highly successful cooking practical – well done to all the Year 10 food students!
