STRAY is in the wild 🐾
Are you once a stray?
Somewhere between who you were and who you're becoming.
No longer quite belonging where you started, but not yet knowing where you're going.
Sometimes we get lost because we're searching for something.
Other times, we're finally brave enough to stop following the map.
Being lost isn't always something to be rescued from - there's a strange kind of freedom in looking beyond what we think we know, in letting go just enough for life to surprise us.
To wander into places we never imagined, and somewhere along the way, discover parts of ourselves we never knew were waiting to be found.
Somewhere along the way, we find each other.
That's what STRAY means to me. Not necessarily finding our way back, but discovering that love can find us wherever we wander.
This year, I also adopted my first cat. Jingle, a little stray who had perhaps been through more than I have.
Learning to understand and trust each other without words has been its own quiet lesson in love.
No slopcore. No autotune. No beauty cam.
Just voices, movement, imperfections, and everything that makes us feel alive.

This summer, I made a conscious decision to change the way I was living and working.
After years of moving between conferences, countries, deadlines, and shipping one project after another in the #Bitcoin space, I realized that the pace I'd grown accustomed to wasn't necessarily one I could sustain.
I needed to find a different rhythm. One that made room for my health, creativity, and simply being present.
It wasn't just about slowing down. It took a leap of faith to rethink my priorities and, more importantly, turn those decisions into everyday practice.
What followed was a summer of learning to dance, making music, creating with people I love, and rediscovering the joy of doing things simply because they make me feel alive.
What stayed with me most wasn't just what we created, but everything it took to get there: the awkward first attempts, the shared effort, the trust built over time, and the connections that grew along the way.
The easier it becomes to generate the output, the more I value the human experience behind it. Technology can expand what's possible, but it can't live our lives for us.
Genuine connection, lived experience, and the relationships behind what we build remain scarce - perhaps more valuable than ever.
Somewhere in this process, I also began to see more clearly how the different sides of my life have always been connected.
The operator in me loves bringing people and ideas together, navigating complexity, and turning possibilities into reality.
The creator in me wants to explore, experiment, and express things that don't always have an immediate purpose or measurable outcome.
One knows how to build. The other keeps asking what deserves to exist.
The most exciting and scary part is realizing I don't have to choose between them.
Yesterday, I released STRAY, my 9th song as an independent singer-songwriter @ivylumi - there's a bigger story unfolding as these different worlds I've been building begin to come together. More on that soon.
For now, here's my proof of work from this summer 🌿

There was BLUNT KNIFE 🌸
Released in April 2026. Our last music video before taking a different turn with STRAY.
With every release, we've been exploring the space between reality and imagination, discovering new ways to tell stories beyond the music.
After BLUNT KNIFE, I felt the urge to return to something simpler, yet somehow even more demanding.
Less about creating new worlds on screen, more about rediscovering the one we inhabit. Our bodies, our movements, our imperfections, and the emotions we carry in every moment of being present.
And that curiosity eventually led us to STRAY.
Different approaches, the same desire to explore what it means to be human.
Sometimes moving forward means returning to the basics.

STRAY is my 9th song released as an independent singer-songwriter.
It became a summer of dancing, new friendships, creative experiments, unexpected discoveries, and learning to trust what I couldn't always explain.
None of it could have happened quite the same way if I'd followed a perfectly drawn map.
We spend so much time trying to find our place in the world, when we're also here to discover how deeply we can connect with it.
To be changed by the people we meet.
To recognize something of ourselves in another living being.
To find beauty in uncertainty, and hold on to the desire to pursue it.
And to keep choosing love, even when misunderstood, when the way forward isn't clear.
