I discovered Prince in 1985. Skipped Purple Rain at first (thought he seemed arrogant on awards shows). Dirty Mind is what got me hooked, then I went back and played the rest of his albums front to back, starting with Controversy.
I said I wasn't getting political but I can't stand this. So far, every person reporting that Trump is replacing Noem isn't giving you the entire truth. You have to read the Trump Truth and we know not everyone does that.
Kristi Noem is being promoted to Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas.
Come on republican influencers, you can do better than the shitty left and shitty media outlets.
Having chronic illness and deciding what you can afford is so depressing. I have so many issues, I have to decide what is the most important in a given moment. I went to a neurologist last fall and he ordered several MRIs. Because I had been going to a rheumatologist...🧵
Well… I did a thing.
Traded my Road Glide for a Heritage.
Not because I stopped loving it — but because autoimmune nonsense has been dialing up the weakness, and I refuse to let it sideline me.
Yes, I cried.
Yes, I needed bestie encouragement.
The bike changed.
The rider didn’t.
I have loved Prince since 1984 and I was 12. And of course I was drawn to the "dirty" songs.
Of course, the first album I fell in love with was Dirty Minds! I know every lyric on this album.
Sadly, this is so true.

Updated my name to a Prince related name. I discovered Prince at age 12 in 1984. I saw my first concert at 16, the Lovesexy tour in '88. It was the best of all my Prince concerts I attended. Here's the entire song quoted in my mini bio. 🧵
The Cross
Song by Prince ‧ 1987
Black day, stormy night
No love, no hope in sight
Don't cry for He's coming
Don't die without knowing the cross
Ghettos to the left of us
Flowers to the right
There'll be bread for all of us
If we can just bear (the cross)
Sweet song of salvation
A pregnant mother sings
She lives in starvation
Her children need all that she brings
We all have our problems
Some are big, some are small
If we can bear problems
They'll be taken by (the cross)
Black day, stormy night
No love, no hope in sight
Don't cry for He's coming
Don't die without knowing the cross, yeah
Ghettos to the left of us
Flowers to the right
There'll be plenty bread for all, y'all
If we can just bear the cross, yeah
We all got problem now
Some are big, some are small
If we can bear problem now
They'll be taken by the cross, yeah
Sing with us, come on
The cross
One more time, y'all, come on
The cross
Mudroom build chronicles:
Multiple 1 inch holes drilled to find where the wires were hit. Thankfully he found it and was able to fix it. Now we are back to our project. Hopefully it will be finished this weekend.
Mud room project chronicles:
Always, always add a multiplier of at least 2 to 3.5 to your estimated time. What we envisioned as one day is now in question. An electrical wire was nicked with a screw and flipped the breaker to the back part of our house.
Our house is almost 5 years old. Ever since we had it built, we planned on making a mud room bench and storage and had them leave out the front entry closet door. Yesterday my husband said it is time since he couldn't work on our garage in the cold.
I’m switching things up and posting more real life, non-political content, the good stuff we all need back in our lives. Bikes, back roads, moments that matter, and yes… my 2021 Road Glide looking fine in these two pics.
Chronic illness has cut my riding time in half, but I’m still chasing miles while I can. Every ride is a damn gift, and I’m riding it like I mean it.
Also, I recently shared an article about my mom’s life. If you haven’t read it, it’s worth a few minutes of your time. Linked in my profile.
One last push for my article before the contest ends tomorrow. Please read, like, share, and comment if you feel led. teapaw.org/iwunderu/status/201484…
I am also attaching one of my favorite pics of her. She was always happy. ♥️
