I donโ€™t say this lightly but these people are proper jokes or they think Ugandans are daft. GSK (GlaxoSmithKline), one of the worldโ€™s biggest and most storied pharmaceutical companies, has its largest pharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturing facility on just 55 Hectares (135 acres). Itโ€™s located in Wavre, Belgium The worldโ€™s largest pharmaceutical manufacturing plant by acreage is the Pfizer plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Itโ€™s on 1,300 acres, is vertically integrated (makes APIs, vaccines etc). It supplies products to more than 120 Countries. DEI Pharma is a mere generics manufacturer (or should be), has ZERO market presence-not even in our countries that import more than 85% of their pharmaceutical needs-and struggles to pay salaries to its employees, some of whom earn less than $200 a month. Why would they need 1,000 acres? What are we smoking as a country? Tuli kuki? #DEIPharmaHeist
Government seeks 600 more acres in Wakiso to expand Dei BioPharma to 1,000 acres to meet international standards, Lands Minister Nabakooba says. The facility, founded by Dr Matthias Magoola, currently sits on 400 acres and is expected to manufacture high-cost drugs including sickle cell treatment, potentially cutting prices by over 99%. Magoola says a similar project in Kamuli is 70% complete. ๐Ÿ“นNoeline Nabukenya #MonitorUpdates

You cannot improve what you never measure. Being data-driven doesn't mean drowning in spreadsheets or investing in expensive business intelligence tools. It starts with knowing which numbers matter to your business and paying attention to them consistently. Are your sales growing? Are you making a profit? Are customers coming back? Which marketing efforts are generating results? Are your operations running efficiently? These questions can reveal opportunities, highlight challenges and help you make better-informed decisions. We have put together 5 data points every business should track to help you get started. Save this for your next business review, and share it with a fellow entrepreneur. #EnablingEntrepreneurs

Well, that's me. The tool just shows what is possible. It can even be further improved.
Someone mapped every drainage channel in Kampala and put it online for free. Tap a drain, see why it floods, where the water goes. That is civic tech done right. Open data that helps people report floods and queue maintenance. We need more of this for our cities.

They really just got on stage and said this newly designed 4000+ pound car can do flips and go half the speed of sound (380+mph) and will ship in 2028. This is a prank, right?

โ€œThe picture of success is a digital economy where small businesses, young people, women, and the people usually left out can reach markets, money and skills. Telcos and platforms get millions of people transacting on their platforms. Investors get a pipeline worth backing. Government gets a wider tax base and policy built on evidence. The market we are all trying to serve gets bigger and each of us gets a bigger share of it than we could manage alone.โ€ Leah Ndikuwera, Digital Economy Practice Lead, @OutboxHub
