She talks about trades, cycling and London’s roads with all the confidence of someone who understands none of them!
'How can you carry a ladder on a bike!?' @FestAKINBUSOYE isn't convinced by @HinaBokhariLD's suggestion that builders could use cargo bikes to help tackle high fuel costs...

Until last week, men over 50 were entitled to a free PSA prostate cancer check. But the government has now decided to withdraw that right. I cannot for the life of me work out what their reasoning might be.

The government forecast private school numbers would drop 6% after VAT was added to fees. Now, the data from Scotland shows secondary schools registrations have fallen 15% - numbers from the rest of the UK will be similar. Far from raising money, the policy looks like it will cost the taxpayer millions. Meantime in Europe, parents get a tax break for using private schools - as they’re saving the state the cost of funding. Another poorly thought through policy.

“Apprehending violent and dangerous criminals is a full contact and messy task which may appear shocking to observers with little experience of policing in the real world.” Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley writes to Zack Polanski.

Hi @Morrisons, as much as I love a freebie, I wasn’t expecting to find a rusty old pair of scissors with my grapes! 🤢

We’ve written publicly to @ZackPolanski following his comments on recent Elbit protest verdicts. Welcoming outcomes while failing to acknowledge a police officer being seriously injured matters. Empathy for those harmed in the line of duty should never be optional.

A horrific loss and a dark moment for freedom of speech. RIP Charlie Kirk. 🙏
"The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!" - President Donald J. Trump

I’m puzzled. Labourites tell us that Angela Rayner was only trying to look after her child which they quite rightly say is understandable. But when a farmer tries to look after his children, they say he’s a tax dodger.

Labour socialism in action - luxury for the politicians, tax hikes for the public. 🤨

Disingenuous reporting in this BBC article alluding that food price rises are because of farmers hiking up prices. The main reason is because supermarkets are fleecing consumers. Also farmers receive pittance from the supermarkets for their food. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cyvn…

Teacher numbers are down. Severe absence is at a record high. The SEND system is in disarray. Staff redundancies have increased inordinately. Violent behaviour is at record levels. But what is the Education Secretary spending all her time on? Blazers.

Whatever Blair recommends, we ought to be doing the exact opposite!
And there it is - bring in digital ID to clampdown on opposing opinions. And we should not be taking advice from the likes of Tony Blair who has been peddling digital ID for decades.

“Tax the rich,” Labour cry… but as this data shows, many are simply upping sticks. The rich leave, and the middle and working classes are left picking up the tab. Slow hand clap for Reeves. 👏
Excl: Thousands of company directors have left the UK since October’s Budget with the low tax UAE proving the most popular destination, particularly with British executives. Great to work with the Financial Times data team on this analysis on.ft.com/47k3Q0b

A week before #NationalAllotmentsWeek and the Labour Government drops this. Allotments are so much more than bits of land, they’re places to grow food, learn, connect, and spend time outdoors. Giving councils the green light to sell them off is a blow to wellbeing, community spirit, and everything we should be protecting.

We are sad to announce that James Whale MBE died earlier today aged 74, following a lengthy battle with cancer. As a broadcasting legend for over 50-years, James will be missed by so many at TALK and the wider News UK family.
