A good question
I make no great claims about the value of my insights, but here they are for what it’s worth
1. You are doing a PhD to learn. Take every opportunity to learn and gain skills and be hungry for it, it’s the best chance you’ll ever get

I think a mixed portfolio is healthy. An MB PhD wouldn’t have suited me but others have thrived on it. I’d be happy to see it in a few more UK med schools but I think we have more important problems to sort out.
Replying to @StephenORahilly
I’ve never been a huge proponent of MB/PhD because I think it’s so hard to know what one is interested in early on
Sure it’s good research training but the real pleasure is from marrying up your clinical interest with a PhD and break from training
Obviously that’s my opinion l, I’m sure others like it

However, she drank 4 bottles of 0% beer/day. This felt like a red flag but I had to go away and look at the data.
