(announcement 🧵)
About a year ago, on a long drive in the middle of the desert, I had a conversation during which my wife asked me why I wasn't using my tech skills where they were needed the most, where they could have the biggest impact.

Weird to see your friend and neighbor have her (and her baby's) picture tweeted by the president...
For many workers, so much of their paycheck goes to child care that they feel like they can’t ever get ahead.
My budget expands access to affordable child care and free preschool to millions of families.
It’s good for kids, it’s good for families, and it’s good for our economy.

We’re delighted to welcome top cyber talent like senior technical advisor Jack Cable to the team! He believes that “as cyberattacks become increasingly common, CISA’s mission to reduce risk to critical infrastructure and to the Federal government has never been more important.”
Are you looking for some fun open source coding? My #Wordle clone is OSS (github.com/jakerella/guessle) and has a few issues that could be good to work!
Of course, you should give it a try! You can play 5- or 6-letter words, change difficulty, & more options!

Boom!
It was about a year ago that everyone was creating #wordle clones. I really enjoyed making mine, and apparently a lot of other people liked it! Check it out here, be sure to look at the options (difficulty levels, 6-letter words, default openers, etc):

This was not an easy decision. I truly appreciate the support and effort of all my colleagues at @Deloitte, but I have to be the change I want to see. Civic technology is already vital to our every day lives, and I want to ensure that we're doing it right.
If you're curious about what I'll be working on and how you can join me in supporting important #civoctech #change for the people of this country, send me a message, or take a look at where I got my start in civic tech: @USDS.
This is a Markdown-to-book generator for nerds. It takes multiple chapter files and generates an ePub (and pdf) document. I've been using this custom framework for myself for a while, and thought I would open source it. Enjoy!
