AUSA's, during yesterday's testimony of MSP Trooper Dunne, made it clear that this is where they believe Sandra Birchmore was attacked by Matthew Farwell. I personally noted right away that these adidas slides, that Sandra had on earlier in the night, were oddly placed. Sandra obviously has several pairs of shoes and although they are placed around the apartment, she always had the shoes next to one another with the soles facing the ground. What also stands out are the bobby pins. Earlier in the day, she is shown on surveillance video with a high "top bun" with her hair tightly secured. However in the crime scene photos, the bun is now gone. Her hair is a mess and completely untied. It is likely that she also had bobby pins in her hair to keep the baby hairs down. But what about the hair tie? Well... that can be found on the OTHER side of where Sandra was found. It still was even in a twisted state - when the hair elastic is doubled or tripled over to hold the hair in place. Sandra Birchmore did not kill herself. And the Mass State Police know this. So doesn't the Norfolk County DA's office.
