Refs don't seem sure what a penalty is or isn't. Cross checks to necks not called yet everyday ones are. Calls in Van's favour, definitely. But I laughed at this sequence....

Oilers bench chuckling because Kane "tricked" refs into penalty call. Refs correct it. Oilers bench then irate that they made the "right" call. Both were non penalties.

Was mid rant with a buddy on how I've never seen a more avoidable own goal in my life, when my wife said I should take the conversation outside. I did. Then I saw this. First time in my life seeing Aurora Borealis from Lower Mainland of BC.

Odd game through 2 periods. Canucks down 4-2 but could easily - and maybe should be - up the same. This is why they play 3 periods...and 7 games...so the breaks "ideally" even out.

Mhmmm, well it doesn't account for lots of things and is mostly a very general indicator of the course of play. Any educated viewer watching this game would note that Van has been the better team.

What would my NFL overtime look like, you ask? A mini game with two 5 minute halves. For playoffs you could consider two 7 minute halves. End of story.
