been seeing a lot of “Steve Jobs is rolling in his grave” posts lately so i think it’s time to remind everyone this interview exists
Here we go again. Built a simple site monitor for my customers and me. Uptime, DNS, certs and headers in PHP with no deps. One alert per server. Call it Vaka - Keeps watch while you sleep 🦉
Went open source right away this time. Did I miss something? github.com/webready-se/vaka
And here is the story behind it jarnesjo.com/writing/vaka-se…
Sidoprojektet Odlingsguiden har vi nu lagt till blommor, men även fröfilosofi som jag tycker alla borde läsa, lillabosgarden.se/odlingsgui… Visste du att fem företag kontrollerar 95% av världens grönsaksfrö?
New version (1.7.0) for Puls now with comparison

Also added som easter eggs to the page. Most under dark mode but one site wide

Wrote about how I did my dark mode toggle with vanilla js instead of using Ract or next-theme for example

One of the best feature so far and highly appreciated is shareable dashboards - token-based read-only links (/?share=<token>) so the customer can easy see and share data internally
Keep working on Puls - Cookieless, lightweight analytics. One PHP file + SQLite. No frameworks, no dependencies.
Now with releases and tweaking when getting real data from 16 sites.

Don't do like me and bang your head into the wall by running artisan commands on stale code when using Laravel Forge zero deployment 😬

I got tired of Google Analytics so I built Puls. Cookieless, lightweight analytics in a single PHP file and SQLite. No frameworks, no dependencies, no build step. Drop it on any PHP host and go. And it's open source.
I wrote a bit about it here: jarnesjo.com/writing/puls-co…
Everything is currently one php file of ~1300 lines and no dependencies. Only have dev dependencies for tests
