October 21, 1976: The Big Red Machine completed its sweep of the Yankees in the World Series with a 7-2 victory at Yankee Stadium. Johnny Bench hit two homers in the game and drove in five runs. His World Series performance earned him Series MVP honors. The 1976 Reds are the only team in major league history to go undefeated through an entire postseason. Roy Face went 18 and 1 for the Pirates in 1959, and he didn't start a single game. Every decision came out of the bullpen. He pitched in 802 games for Pittsburgh, the same number Walter Johnson pitched for Washington. Johnson started 666 of his. Face started 27. Same number, and about as different a road as two pitchers could take to get there. Johnson was a workhorse ace. Face was one of the first true relief stars.

Imagine thinking you’re faster than Elly De La Cruz. What a ridiculous play from Elly and a great throw by Sal to hit him on the run. ELECTRIC. #Reds

Dan Campbell has a special spot in his heart for high school football. I asked the Lions head coach if he had a message for players and coaches beginning their seasons. His answer was as fantastic as you’d expect it to be.

Kurt Warner shares the lesson that changed his entire career and it applies to everything. He sat on the bench for 4 years in college. When a friend asked the coaches why he wasn't playing, the answer wasn't what he expected: "The reason I wasn't playing was because I was not very good in practice." His first reaction? Allen Iverson mode. "Practice? What're you talking about, practice?" But then he did the math. "In college we play 12 games in 365 days. In the NFL we play 16 games in 365 days." That's less than 5% of your year. "95% of our lives are lived in practice. And the biggest impression we make on people, the way people can understand and really realize who we are, is what we do every day in practice." This is the 95% Rule. And it applies to everything - sports, business, relationships, life. 1: Show Up With Your Best Effort - Compete and give your best every single day. People can't question how you show up - your effort, attitude, and actions. Consistency removes doubt. 2: Trust Is Built In Practice, Not Games - Trust is earned in the thousands of moments before it's given. Before you can be trusted, people want to know you're dependable. Every day. Not just when it matters. 3: Master Daily Consistency - Success isn't about intensity - it's about consistency. Your habits compound. What you do daily defines who you become. 4: Big Moments Are Earned In Small Moments - The little details make the biggest difference. Greatness starts with preparation - it's earned in the boredom of doing the work when no one's watching. Excellence isn't an event - It's a habit. Practice is where trust is built. How you show up daily is who you really are. (🎥 @pttorch) (🎥@kurt13warner)
In 1992, Kurt Warner was the backup QB at Northern Iowa. He was more talented than the starter, but couldn't get on the field. So he asked why. Their answer stunned him... He called it the "greatest lesson he ever learned about life and football." (📌Bookmark this)

The Costs of Leadership: Kirby Smart 1. You will make hard decisions that negatively affect people. 2. You will be disliked despite your best attempts to do the best for the most. 3. You will be misunderstood & won't have the chance to defend yourself.
